You'll revel in all Tribotz's capabilities: Sound Operating Mode: Moves toward you, then backs up and chooses a new route when you make noise. Avoider Mode: Changes direction to avoid obstacles. Line Tracer Mode: Follows a black line drawn by a felt tip pen. You'll feel like a true engineer when you put it together. I got this for my 25 year old boyfriend. He put it together in about an hour and tested out the different modes. Since you cant program it, hes lost interest.

I bought this for my 15 year old nephew for Christmas. He built it in a couple of hours with some help. It took a bit of troubleshooting since he (we) ignored the errata sheet at first. Well, thats part of the fun. He went on to experiment with it. It comes with full schematics and theory of operation for someone to learn beyond the simple assembly and emperical experimentation.
