It works perfectly. My only gripe is that sometimes if you hold the L trigger too long it can get stuck holding L, but its ok, doesnt happen too often, and when it does, you just have to press L again.

It does its job for the price, but it is not as good as other controllers that are more expensive.

I got this controller specifically for the d-pad, but I find myself perplexed by the d-pad itself. The d-pad on this controller is alot harder to use than the regular controller. I would just use this controller as a means of playing roms/emulator games and just sticking with the regular controller. Youll notice the difference and end up preferring to go back to the original controller.

Ive yet to use it with a 360, but it works great with a PC. The buttons are also a bit stiff

your site had it to my doorstep within 48 hours, and I ordered on a Thursday using only standard USPS shipping! 9 times out of 10 they are much faster than New Egg!!!
Exactly what I was hoping for. No software required (I use Vista 64 Bit). Unfortunately it doesnt work with Tachyon, which fails to detect some of the buttons, but thats the game developers fault. Cant wait to try it on Assassins Creed.
People complain about not being able to see the buttons because the controller is black, but they must be sight impaired or something. Ad should say Black instead of colors may vary though because these only come in black on your site. The buttons are just fine! In fact, theyre labeled more clearly than the Microsoft version. Do recommend getting a couple of those round velvet stickies to put on top of the sticks, as my thumbs got pretty sore while playing with it. Might as well be comfortable.
On that note, someone complained that the control sticks werent rubberized; well the overpriced Xbox controller sticks each have 4 sharp protrusions which can SHRED your poor thumbs (Im not kidding), so the Mad Catz is much better!

The controllers are great. They get the job done but the rumble feature is really weak. Needs a stronger rumble for better gaming experience.

A great alternative to paying for the wireless or namebrand controller. We received the black controller, so its kind of hard to see a few of the buttons/names on the controller. However, since we already have the white official wireless Xbox controller, and know all the buttons, it wasnt a problem. Buttons are pretty much the same except the start button isnt round, its a tiny rectangle.

Compared to the stock xbox 360 pad, it has a good d-pad, but the controller sticks are atrocious. WHy? b/c they dont have the slighly rubberized grips that the standard 360 controllers do. Plus, the buttons feel very cheap, and on my unit at least the left bumper is a little defective b/c its squishy. I saved $5 getting this instead of the standard controllre. Get the standard controller.

I was looking for a wired 360 controller for use with an xbox 360 as well as a Mac and Windows. The store ran out of original controllers (which cost $40) and only had these for $25. It was well worth it!
It obviously worked right away for the xbox 360. For the computer, it was perfectly recognized as a MadCatz GamePad and worked with the XBOX 360 drivers for Windows and for Mac OS X. (Had to download both from different websites).
Controller wise, this thing is great. The triggers are much more concave than the original Microsoft controllers, which is how a trigger should feel. Also, the bumper buttons actually FEEL like buttons. They never really felt like anything other than a few clickers on the original controllers, but the MadCatz one makes them big and provides a satisfying click.
The D-Pad is also vastly superior to the original controllers. You can actually click the diagonal with ease. Of course, any D-Pad is probably better than the original 360 ones. But these are extremely good, its definitely a big plus sign so you can hit the buttons.
My only complaint with it would be that the bumpers and the triggers are too far apart. I would of preferred if the distance were more close, similar to the original 360 controller. This isnt really much of a problem, except it made playing Castle Crashers slightly annoying since the triggers and the bumpers are both used and switched off quickly. However, it does allow the two buttons to be more defined and less prone to accidently hitting the wrong button.
I have not tried the headset input, so I cant comment on that.
