This toy was given to my 2yr old by his grandma and he likes it. It was not purchased with intentions of a learning tool. It was so my son could have his own laptop to type on since thats what he wants to do on ours :). The screen is small it would be nice to see in color, but then cost would go up on the toy im sure. My son loves play with the mouse on it and pushing keys. Its very durable cause hes banged it, thrown it, hit it, and stepped on it and it still works. He loves to use it while we drive and it keeps him entertained. As far as him being abled to the games all I hear is try again but he is 2 and so I like to sit with him and help him get the right answers cause if not it will be try again all day lol. they have lots of games but some might be advanced for certain ages, but every child is different.

im glad i bought this toy... it does alot when learning #s, abcs, shapes...this toy is very helpful...dont leave it on without use because ull run the batteries down...but very useful and fun!!!! not 2 complicated...its pretty simple!!

My child will not stay intrigued in just any toy and Im here to tell you, this toy is the most amazing toy I have ever bought for him. I bought it when he was 3 and he is almost 4, and still loves it. Unfortunately, I am going to have to buy him a new laptop since he has mastered this one. Other moms I hang around loved it so much, I eventually bought their children one when their birthdays came around. Its a GREAT buy!

My kids loves the laptop, however, since he is only 18 months, he cannot understand its use as desiged and uses it in may other ways, so I cannot review the durability of this laptop just yet. I will give him back the laptop in 6 more months, maybe he will play with it in a more calm manner and I will leave a feedback on the durability as well :)

I got this for my sons 3rd birthday. He has a 4 year old brother and 7 year old sister. Maybe because its new, but they all want to play with it. It holds their attention for 15-30 minutes at a time. The kids love to dance to the music tunes in the car or at home. The handle makes it easy for little hands to grip, so it travels everywhere with us. My daughter says she likes it better than the Thomas the Train laptop my other son got for his birthday because it tells you the right answer. Its very durable and easy to use. I dont find the volume level to be too high like other reviewers. All in all, its a great value with lots of features.

When I ordered this laptop, I had very high expectations. However, they did not materialize, because the laptop turned out to have a VERY SMALL SCREEN, where you can barely see. The quality of the picture is extremely poor and the mouse is not a very comfortable one for my son.

Purchased the Vtech laptop for Christmas 09 for my 4 yr old daughter..Yaaah! Within a couple of days she had figured out how to work everything and has played constantly with it.... Yaaah! The games are challenging for her and she enjoys trying to figure out the problems....Yaaah!
Pros:
Easy to use, challenging, fun, sounds out letters/words.
Cons:
Very small screen, poor graphics, and while it has a positive confirmation every time she gets an answer correct, it blurts out....YAAAH!!! This could potentially trigger incessant neurotic to psychotic behavior in parents. Yaaah!!!

Although he hasnt used the games yet, he loves having a puter like mommy. He is not the most gentle and, yet, the mouse has stayed in tact and the toy itself looks pretty difficult to break. Once he begins to sit down for a period of time (he is very busy)I am sure he will love all of the great educational lessons this computer has to offer a little one.

I got this in your site but later found that its cheaper in Walmart. No concerns on the product quality except for this. Product is really good and useful for kids.

I bought this laptop for my 2 year old son. He like pushing the buttons more than actually learning from it. I think it would be ideal for a 4-5 year old. I bought it thinking that he would play with it while I was working on my own laptop. Yeah, didnt work out like that cuz it does not look like mine! LOL Overall, a good toy but not for a toddler.

Definitely too old for the age group they say it is for. Nice computer and sturdy but will be a while before my granddaughter will be able to use it. I even had to look at the directions to see how to use it. Too many buttons to push before you get what you wanted.

I was very apprehensive in buying this laptop for my 2 year old son. Although it is too advanced for his age, there are a few fun activities for him. It would definitely benefit him educationally by the time he turns three. It is definitely worth the buy! Im enjoying it myself!

I got this for my grandson, who is 2 1/2 yrs old. He loves it and plays with it all the time. His attention span is a little short, so he doesnt play with it very long - and I do believe he will be able to understand the commands a little better as he gets older, but he does love it and thinks he has a laptop like dad.

We own a lot of toys with twins and both of my girls LOVE this toy. Also, I am very impressed with how much they have learned from this toy. Also, very durable. My girls are rough and both are still working great. Highly recommend and cant beat the price.

I have a pink one for one child and an orange one for the other. Its a very educational toy and pretty sturdy overall although weve only had one of them since Christmas and the other since mid January 2010.
The kids love the real mouse and run to get their laptops when I take out mine! Pretty successful I would say!

It was really fun when I wa playing with my 1 1/2 year old grandson who knew what to do. He showed me how to work the computer his self. Not bad to beable to use by yourself when youve had it since Christmas.
