I purchased on of these, and like a previous review said, if you try to look directly through the visor, the view is distorted a bit. However, I live in an area that driving home every day I drive into the setting sun, and the sun also bounces off the car in front of me in a BLINDING light. The distortion through the shade is nothing compared to being able to actually focus on the traffic in front of me. I have found that with the 2nd smaller shade, you can actually get the sun itself to be bearable in your peripheral vision. Also, at night on the interstate, this makes the oncoming traffic headlights bearable as well. I love this product and have 3 family members who have DEMANDED one for Christmas after seeing them in my car and my telling them the benefits. Only drawback, I moved this from car to car and dropped it and the smaller sliding shade broke. Not as great now, as when I have that searing light off the sun, I cant compensate as well. Im buying 4 more for myself and Christmas.

Nice gadet for driving into the sun. Not only for the old folks! Beware of the visor width. Would be nice if clips were adjustable to avoid mirror blinds within the sun visor of the car.

Fits on visor really good and shields the sun for my short friend on the passengers side.

This is my second Sun Zapper. My first one lasted several years, and when it broke I realized how much I missed it. I use it to shield my eyes when the sun is low in the sky, as well as to shield my shoulder and upper arm when the sun is to my left. When looking through it, things are a bit distorted, so people with vision problems probably should not use it. When the weather gets very hot, and before your air conditioner can cool the car a bit, the Sun Zapper is a little difficult to pull down. This is because the plastic has expanded in the heat. If you are fighting the sun in the spring and fall, this might be something you could try.

The visor serves its purpose. It will help cut the glare from the direct sunlight for short periods of time. It is ok if you have no other protection for very short time. The plastic will produce distortions. It is not intended to replace good sunglasses. On the occasions that I have had to use it the product preformed OK. I would not use it for more then a 5 to 10 minute period. I also found readjusting the driver seat also helps

This product is what I wanted mainly because of the glare that comes in the passenger window at eye level. I am 53 and the car visor is never low enough when it is swung over to the side. It is cooler and less irritating than having the sun shine right on the side of my face during long drives. The amber plastic has some waves when looking through it out the windshield but it doesnt bother me.

I had previously bought a similar product from another manufacturer, but it proved to be totally disappointing. The sun zapper is far superior and is very useful. I am no longer near-blinded when driving west in the late afternoon.

Im so happy to find this Sun zapper, I had mine for over 3 years and it just broke and the place where I ordered from does not carry it anymore, I cant live without it, I mainly use it to block the sun on the drivers side, Im 5 2 and the sun hits the side of my face and neck. This really helps. Please do not discontinue this product.

I read all the reviews on this sun visor; clearly you either liked it or hated it. Since I needed something to block the glare on the drive home I bought this. I am not disappointed. I wouldnt want a pair of sunglasses made out of this plastic, but I have no trouble seeing through it. That wave distortion everyone talks about is there, but its not that bad and if I have the visor down and not angled its almost imperceptable. I have a slender sun visor in my car so the clips on this glare screen slide on just fine. It cuts down the glare and thats what I wanted. If I were the maker of this product I would improve the screen, perhaps a good sunglass material with no distortion? I also like the slidable sunspot blocker. So overall, not perfect but not terrible and I like this product!

My mother works a job that puts her out on the interstate to drive directly into the setting sun. I first purchased this for her 2 years ago from a shop-at-home channel. She absolutely found this indespensible.....so much in fact that with a purchase of a new car and changing it out, one of the clips broke, we went on an all-out search for another one of these. Thank goodness your site carried this item. My mother said it was the longest 2 weeks of her life before the new one came. We are contemplating buying a back-up just in case. If driving into the sun, or a person who drives alot, this is a perfect item to have!

Some cars have relatively small sun visors. I purchased this to help with the strong sun glare encountered here in SC since the sun visor in my car isnt large enough. It has been great to have this additional glare shield. Its not permanent so it can be used in any car if you are a more than one car family, etc. or if you have to use a rental, etc.

I just bought two of these because I already know theyre great. I bought one several years ago from a travel website and it lasted until one of the arms broke from plastic fatigue. I tried to replace it with ones from the auto stores. I must have bought 3 or 4 different ones and none of them fit over my visor because of the position of vanity mirror. With the arms at the ends of the visor this one fits great--I would think it would be universal and would fit just about all visors. I also like the little slider that you can put just where the sun is to give that extra bit of shade. It absolutely does not interfere with your vision. Another help: with your visor down and sunglasses on its pretty hard for them to identify you when you get your picture snapped by one of those red light cameras!

I have been looking for one of these for years, and I wasnt even sure anyone made them. An elegant solution, esp. in late afternoon/early evening when the sun is low in the sky and sunglasses make it almost too dark to see the road.

It works great. Having the clips far apart allows you to still be able to use the mirror feature on the visor. Also, the slidding double shield allows you to follow the sun.

The product is a visor extension. It folds up and down easily. The sliding sun blocker segment works reasonably well if you are a one eyed driver. Despite that deficiency this product will make you a safer driver when driving into the sun.

I dont use this during the day as much, but it is great for use at night. I have trouble with my eyes adjusting from the glare of oncoming headlights. This takes a lot of that out. If I owned more than one vehicle, I would buy another for it.

My Dodge Sprinter RV has big windows. The sun visors are good but dont cover all the areas. It is really bad below the stock sun visor. This Sun Zapper does the job. You can see through it but it blocks the main sun brightness. Highly recommend it.
