Ive recorded over 400 movies in the past year, mostly on these TDK disks, mostly with a Panasonic DVD recorder. Ive tried other brands, Verbatim, Memorex, HP, and others, and with those 1 out of 10 or 20 fail. Not these - only about one failure per 100.
Update: during the year or so since this review, Ive had numerous TDK discs fail; maybe they got a bad batch or something, it seems to have started after they changed the design. I tried more brands and Magnavox DVDs, both -R and +R, are working fine for now. I hope TDK gets their old high quality standards back.

This discs seems to work really really well on my MAC Lacie 8x -- seems the only ones that really work at 8x...just have to watch if TDK sometimes messes up and codes them as 4x (it happens, sometimes).

this is by far the best media out there. this media works on all dvd players including my very picky samsung dvd/vcr combo purchased 4 years ago. I like memorex and imation, but tdk is the best. its a little more expensive but if you are backing up your dvd collection like myself, then make sure that you store them on media that will last a long time. i have made several burns and not had a single coaster yet. Quality media
