No improvements could be made for this case. I little hard to get on at first but once on, no need to take off. Used an exacto knife to shave off a bit to allow to fit on b&w zepplin sound dock but overall a great and very good looking case for iPhone 3gs.

I am beyond fussy when it comes to my iPhone case as far as functionality and the overall appearance of the case. Over the past year, I have purchased four other cases and only one of which I liked and used until it began to show obvious signs of wear. The Switch Easy, Rebel Serpent is my latest and is by far my favorite. It slides in and out of my pocket easily, looks great and provides plenty of protection. It has also been a source of many compliments as well. What else could you ask for ?

after spending way too much time reading reviews and recommedations about the best iphone case, i decided to go with the rebel serpent and i could not be happier.

this is a complete kit and i think one of the best deals for the money because of all the extras ( like 2 screen protectors).

the skeleton part of the case looks amazing and i get compliments on it all the time

ome tiny tiny complaint is that the case doesnt exactly fit on the bottom for me and a tiny bit of chrome is still showing where the case bulges out a little bit. everything else is amazing though and i am extremely happy i went with this case

First thing first is that its not bulky and very solid in your hand. Secondly putting it on can be a pain , but its just GREAT.

After a ton of research I decided to purchase this one. I had Best Buy install an invisisheild first before installing the case.. Between the two, my iPhone is bullet proof!
I like the fact that the case does not add a lot of bulk to the device. The raised edges make it easy to hold and I dont think its ever slipped out of my hand.
Highly recommend this case!

Unique looking case that surrounds a soft silicone shock absorbing shell with a cool hard plastic backbone and ribs.

Pros: Great look and feel, secure fit, has a separate cover for power adapter slot (keeps out lint and stuff), power switch and volume controls are also covered by the case and work fine.
Cons: Non-Apple headphone jacks with bigger diameter end fitting dont fit past the case cutout, not quite a perfect fit near the bottom end of the phone [a nit-pick really]

Solid product.

Also, seems to me that theres a lot of upside potential for addition of popular color combinations (i.e. Black and Gold) and other textures/patterns in the future.

Good case. Comes with a lot of extras including a stand. Took a little getting at first because I like to use the pocket of my 5.11 cargo pants to hold the phone and with the case it was a little snug.

Pros:
Case is sturdy
Looks distinctive
Well thought out extras
Very easy to put on and take off.
Includes a docking station.

Cons:
Adds some bulk to the phone.

Overall, good value.

Received this case and its wonderful accessories and couldnt be happier. Nice snug fit, great aesthetics and an overall real high end feel and look. Very happy with this purchase and with this being on the pricier side i feel you get what you pay for with this unit.

I purchased this product because of the high reviews on other websites as well as the feedback left by your siteers but also because of the extras that came in the whole package.

The screen protectors, horizontal stand, plugs, and docking stand adapter make this an incredible value. This is also a very stylish case in my opinion.

Here are a few issues I have with it however:
- The silicone skin is very hard and slick. Perhaps I was envisioning something with more give to it to provide shock protection and more grip.
- I had a Zagg Invisible Shield on my iPhone and found that this case WILL NOT work with the added thickness of the Invisible Shield. I removed it and the Rebel case fits much better.
- The removable dock port plug is really kind of a joke. It will get lost because as any iPhone owner knows, if you arent syncing your phone, you are recharging quite frequently so this plug not being connected to the case is as good as gone.
- The mute switch is hard to get to due to the proximity and steep angle of the edges. I would like to have seen a smoother transition of this hole to allow for easier access.
- Final comment: The silicone skin covering the volume and power switches while operable remove any feel you might have had knowing you had pushed the buttons. I can press on the power switch and cannot feel anything move or click anymore. I only know my press worked is when the phone comes on. This may be good enough for some, but I have had the pleasure of having to press the power button a couple of times because I happened to hit the button again and inadvertently powered off not knowing my initial try had worked due to the start up lag. Maybe Im weird, but I dont want my case taking away any functionality of the phone even if it is a simple tactile feature.

All in all, the case is OK and it will do the job, but it leaves me wondering if there isnt any else better out there.

I have had the rebel serpent for about 2 months now and have been very impressed with it since day one. For starters the thing looks SWEET! It is clean and slick and definitely gets looks. However, I didnt just buy this cover for looks. It had to protect my baby too. And it delivers there too! I have dropped my phone several times in the past two months and never worried about my phone. It comes with a great goodie bag which includes a doc adapter, movie stand for landscape viewing, cloth for cleaning and two screen protectors. I DO NOT USE THE SCREEN PROTECTORS. Instead I bought a leather case with a magnetic flap an belt clip that is perfect for work on the hip or laying around during play. Needless to say my screen is immaculate.

That said I must relay some concerns/cons. It is a little more slippery than the actual phone. Does it worry or bother me? Absolutely not. The case does bow out at the bottom just a hair. Again this is so minute that it doesnt bug me whatsoever. I forget its even like that. It is a little bugger to take off but again I never do so Im perfectly fine with it. It compliments the phones sleekness so well that I never would want to take it off.

Overall a definite winner in my book if u want eye-catching style AND protection. Its worth every penny. ENJOY!

This case has a great look and feel. Its certainly feels better in hand then the naked iPhone 3Gs. My son bought an Arctic Rebel for his white iPhone, I bought the Black Serpent for my black phone. Both look very cool on their respective phones, though the Arctic on the black phone did not.

The reason I gave if four instead of five stars is that the screen protector, while good in terms of visibility and sensitivity, is a tad too big for the case and tends to cause bubbles which are very annoying. I might try applying the second protector and perhaps have more luck - or get another screen protector from another company. This is a common problem that should be remedied by Switcheasy.

One feels confident, however, that the phone is protected. Look for the YouTube video of a guy who drops his iPhone with Rebel case from various distances - up to 25 feet from his roof - with no damage to his iPhone!

Contrary to what one might think from the pictures, the diamond/scale-looking part of the case is the hard shell. The plain black part is the soft(er) part. This results in the back of the phone resting on the hard part of the case, which is a good thing. The case itself is nice. As others have pointed out the fit doesnt 100% cover the silver border of the iPhone but I dont think thats a big deal.

Unfortunately the limited directions for the protective membrane that comes with the case (carefully apply protective membrane) make it almost impossible to install correctly. It wasnt until after trying to install the second one that I realized there were two protective layers and that my time spent trying to remove the adhesive residue from the top had only succeeded in getting dust under the screen.

I would encourage anyone with questions to contact Switcheasy via their web site. They seem fairly responsive (12-36 hour response) and very helpful.

Some quick directions for the screen protector (a combination of mine and Switcheasys):

- The protective screen has a covering on each side. Both eventually get removed.

- Label color orange #1 is the adhesive side. Label color black #2 is the protective film.

- Be very careful to not get dust or fingerprints on the bottom of the protective film since they will be visible as bubbles.

- Remove the cover with the orange tab, and apply the screen to your phone.

- Squeegee the air out.

- Remove the cover with the black tab.

Per Switcheasy, if the protective film gets dirty, you can wash both sides with water.

This case is a really good one for my iPhone 3GS. Id been using my phone for 4 months before I finally got the case. In that time I had never dropped my phone. After the case, I managed to drop it twice and it survived both falls. Other reviewers have mentioned that it is a bit slippery and I did feel the same way and it probably was a factor in the two drops.

Over time, I have also noticed that the silver underneath is beginning to show towards the bottom, where it feels like a loose fit.

Besides these two issues, I am very satisfied with the case.

I bought a cheap case right after getting my iPhone to protect it while I shopped for a real case. I immediately liked the looks of the Rebel Serpent, but I was worried it would be too bulky. I was also concerned that it would be too grippy and not slide easily in and out of my pocket. I took the plunge and am glad I did so. I havent seen anyone else with this case and its a breeze to get in and out of my pocket. Its also very solidly built and will no doubt protect my phone. The only thing I would improve is the insert that covers the data cord connection at the bottom. Currently it comes completely off. It would be better if it was tethered to the case in someway, like the little flaps that protect the USB port on digital cameras.

This is a great case but make sure you order it from one of your sites approved Vendors
because if you order directly from your site it takes forever to ship. I ordered the serpent and the rebel devil iphone cases in one order but one shipped from MyGearStore and it arrived in 3 days but the Serpent model came directly from your site and it took over a week.

I love this case! It comes with 2 screen protector sheets which are awesome! went on very easily with no air bubbles for me. when i put the hard cover on, it did create an air bubble, but i got it out in about 5 seconds with the squeegee they provided. I love the connector protector!! and the video stand. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because the fit is slightly off. you can see the chrome part on certain areas at the bottom of the phone (the case not tight enough). nothing i do will fix it. other than that this is a very high quality case. easily the best ive had so far.

LOVE this. As I have bad luck with iPhone covers (cracked two within a month of getting them) and am horribly clumsy, I need something heavy duty without looking awful. So far, its been worth it! Like others have mentioned, the screen protector doesnt quite fit in, but a little trim fixed that up. While it doesnt add a lot of bulk to the phone, it adds just enough to make the phone feel much more substantial, which I like as I find my phone a little too small sometimes. And I feel as if my phone will be protected from my own clumsy messes. The array of colors to choose from also made me very happy.

This is an extremely good case. It comes with two clear adhesive screen protectors, a soft shell, a hard spine and other misc items. It has protected me well against drops. My only con is that the headphone jack is small and mu aux cable does not fit in it.
