The slide out USB means you dont accidentally break it in your pocket or under a stack of books. The light up side lets you know your computer is reading it. Its a fantastic little thumb drive!

This is a nice little drive. I have been using it for about a month now and have no problems so far. I use it mainly for transporting music and word documents. No problems with formatting or installing the drivers or anything like that. The drive does feels kinda cheap, especially the sliding feature. Its not a big deal and is probably just my own opinion. I like not having to worry about losing a cap though. Great product overall and i would purchase another if necessary.

This is so handy. Works great and no cap to loose! Just slide out the usb connection, insert it in your computer and thats it!

8g is a lot for the price and you just cant beat it. And it comes out with a push of the slide, which makes it easier than having to keep up with the cap!

I am very pleased with my new SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. It is sturdy and I like the retractable connector feature ... no lost caps or lids! These drives are the best invention since sliced bread!

I owned a 2G Sandisk Cruzer Titanium before this, and I lost it... I loved how durable that felt in my hand. When I bought this, I decided that the price was worth the 8G space, despite that it wasnt the titanium version I liked. This obviously doesnt feel as durable, but I still like it.

Ive owned the 8GB Sandisk usb drive for a year now and have subjected it to very heavy and not particularly friendly use, and it continues to work great. I work in entertainment technology so Im constantly carting around enormous media files, loading them from one computer, deleting them from the drive. I dont always have the patience to remove the drive in the proper way, so Ive gotten more than a few Device incorrectly removed, your data may be damaged from the offended computer, but the data always stays uncorrupted on this drive. Best usb drive Ive ever had; would recommend to anyone.

Cons:
The case for the drive is a bit wide, which means it crowds out things from being plugged in next to it. I can plug my mouse and my usb next to one another on my macbook pro, but they both look really uncomfortable and sort of skewed. Annoying, but nbd.

I have had to reformat it a couple times, not often but maybe twice. But afterward it was working fine, and I would have been surprised if any little flash drive didnt need a reformat after the amount of data I continually moved on it and off it.

I wouldnt use this as backup per se, but I wouldnt use any jump drive as back up. Its great for carting large files from one computer to another, and its by far the most dependable usb drive Ive used.

Ive used this flash drive to transfer images, saves from various programs, mp3s and video files. The transfer rate could be faster but Ive never had any other problems.
As for the Crudware, I never really noticed it. I like the retractable port as I hate dealing with lost lids and caps. The light up switch is very nice as well.

This little drive has never failed me. The U3 software needs to be removed, but everything else about it is great --and no cap to lose. I was compelled to write a review after my wife called me at work to inform me that she had just send my 8GB drive through the washing machine. I told her just to let it sit out and dry and Id check it out in a few days. She said there was no need for that as it had also gone through the dryer. The next day I plugged it in to my mac and everything was still there intact. I ordered a couple more just so I can have them around to share large files. Very pleased with this drive.

I am so glad I bought this. This 8 GB flash drive can hold huge files. I downloaded a 500 MB file from the office to bring home so I could do some paperwork at my dinning room table on my laptop. Were talking about a file that contains over 100 PDF copies of checks, 200 PDF copies of advertising contracts. Its believeable how much data this little contraption will hold. I would recommend this flash drive for the home if you want to save a lot of family photos or music that are on the home computer so that you can free up some disc space. My primary reason for buying this was a quick and easy way to save my PS3 game data. The PS3 back-up function is buggy and time consuming so this handy little device pops right in the front and after a couple copies, its good to go. I also keep about 2gb worth of music on it.

Great value and SUPER fast speeds. Works great with the Sony Playstation 3.

I purchased the 8GB USB SanDisk drive. Price was great for 8GB but will not work with Windows 7 as a memory expansion module. States the drive is incompatible with that feature in Windows 7. Since I purchased the drive for that purpose I was disappointed.

I really enjoy my flashdrive and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and effective way of saving important information. I write alot of books and songs and lost info on the computer due to hard drive problems. Using this drive has helped that problem. It is lightweight and the retractable USB connector is a plus.

The retractable flash drive (a plastic slide) seems a little flimsy. At first it was difficult to pull out of the port but with wear, it seems to be ok.

I think this 8gb flash drive was worth the $16. It does hold 8gb and easily plugs into the computer. You can slide it out and let it click so that it stays in its pushed out position, and when you wish to put it away you can slide it back in. My only issue is it should have came with a cap to cover that portion & prevent any lint or dirt from entering, especially if you carry it in your pocket. It came with a mini-ring so you can attach it to your keys and not lose it. So far it has been durable and has not caused me any problems
