This product was everything I had hoped it would be! I was a long time CH product user, but liked the idea of having the separate throttle quadrant and beefier yoke that the Saitek product offered. I am very happy with my decision to get the PZ44. It mounts to the desk very solidly and does not move at all. I did spend a little time the first day I had it setting up all the controls just like I want them, using the registered version of FSUIPC in Flight Simulator 2004. Once set up, it performed flawlessly on my first 2.5 hour flight using my PMDG 737-800, and upon touchdown the reverse thrust on the throttle lever worked perfectly! I was great not having to use the keyboard for much of anything the entire flight.

Now to save up for a second throttle quadrant!

The device works great as messaged. The only minor, very minor gripe with the yoke is that there is a small amount of drift when banking left. Then again it one could chalk it up to some other element in the chain...processor, memory, video card etc. Bu all in all this thing rocks!

Product arrived on time. Product arrived in a large box with plenty of padding. The disk provided does not support windows 7 so it is essential to download the latest drivers from the saitek website. Product installed with ease (screw driver required for a few screws). Overall the product delivered. I just wish it was a little cheaper or they included rudder pedals.

My first purchase of this product a couple of years ago resulted in a fine product in a box with little help included to understand its operation. After a few months of use, it totally failed. I stored it and went to another system. A year later, I decided to give it another chance but it was still inoperative. I spent hours and hours on the internet with the manufacturer, the re-seller and user forums trying to find a solution to the failure. I got some nice responses from forums, but the manufacturer was marginally responsive but offered no solutions or resolutions. The seller was non-responsive. The product, however, is well designed and after shopping for better applications, I had to admit that poor service and support notwithstanding, the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke & Throttle is, on balance, still the best out there, so I purchased another one. Now, time will tell if that was the right decision.

Setup was very easy, controls move smoothly with no binding. Multiple programmable buttons. There are 13 buttons, hat switch, yoke, and 3 levers. You can program each for 3 different operations and switch between them using the MODE switch. All in all well worth the Price.

I initially had difficulty working with the Saitek yoke, but now feel that I have got pretty good control of it. However it still tends to be sticky, wich has a little negative effect on my aircraft control. The plus side is I love the clock insert, the solidness of the assembly and realism. I also really like the setup of the throttle quadrant and it works quite well, again, very realistic. Overall, I am bery happy with the complete setup and glad I purchased these items. Got them all for a great price from your site.

I have had many products in the past but none that match the awesome controls that Saitex has given me. Before the Saitex I use the CH controller. It started out good but than began sticking. I have tried everything from: silicon sprays grease, oils nothing helped. The shaft on the CH is made of plastic as opposed to the Saitex which is made out of Stainless steel. In my opinion i believe the plastic cant hold up to the stress and enviroment. The controls on this Saitex are much smoother and the throttle is fantastic. The Saitex is a must for anyone who wants realistic Sim flying experience. You wont regret it.

Once I got the yoke assembly in, I plugged it in immediately and used it in FSX. The next day it would not work because i had received a lemon that broke after 15 minutes of use. I called MADCATZ and they immediately figured out I needed to send it in for repair. I got madd because I just purchased a $120 dollar device and now I couldnt use it. It took 4 weeks to finally get it back and it has been working like a champ the past couple weeks. Support was ok but I had to keep e-mailing them to get any feedback on the status of repairs. Finally, I had to tell them I wanted a new one or else. They quickly and promptly sent me a new yoke and quadrant. Now that I have it back, I love it.

I am a licensed pilot flying complex aircraft. I purchased the Saitek Pro Flight yoke and throttle quadrant for FSX using Windows 7. My primary goal was to keep sharp on procedures and to fly instrument approaches. Ive now used the products for a couple of weeks. Here are the plusses and minuses:
    PLUS
    - No installation disk was necessary, the program recognized the Saitek stuff right away. Couldnt have been easier.
    - There are plenty of programmable switches I havent used yet, but they seem more than adequate to cover most cockpit activity.
    - The switches that are pre-programmed are well thought out and become intuitive quickly.
    MINUS
    - The clamp on the throttle quadrant quickly stripped the threads on the outboard hole under normal use. Its not a great problem because theres another hole inboard, but it shouldnt have happened.
    - The yoke itself is too springy and does not give a true aircraft feel. Some of this may be the programming in FSX but I dont think so. Aircraft tend to yo-yo along the pitch axis even when using only the trim switch (which you must use, even moreso than the real thing). Some aircraft, of course, are more sensitive than others (like the Mooney) but other stable planes are yo-yoing as well.

I have Flight Simulator X, Saitek Pro Flight yoke with the 3 lever throttle unit, and the Saitek Rudder pedals.
This program is just what it is named a Flight Simulator. I thought this program would be more game like. This program is not very friendly. I think this program assumes the people who buy it are familiar with flying planes. I have found that many people that buy this package are pilots when I called tech support. I suggest that you print out and read the instructions and the controls diagram if you are a beginner like me. In order to enjoy this program you need to buy the Flight Yoke and throttle controls using the keyboard is difficult and not much fun. I also bought the rudder pedals, but it is going to take some time for me to get it all working together, Im a beginner so the yoke and throttle is enough for now.
If you are thinking of some day flying a plane this is the package to get. If you just want jump in and just start flying get something easier. Also USB extensions over 8 feet without an amp should not be used because I had problems with a 10 foot extension cable turning the yoke on and off.

    Good luck and happy flying.

By far the best yoke out there. Easy plug-and-play connection. Very realistic yoke tension. Plenty of programmable buttons. The only minor con is the complicated mode switch integration into Microsoft Flight Sim, but that is more of a convenience issue, and is not required for use.

As an old commercial pilot, SE & ME CFII, and aviation enthusiast (retired) I decided to get back into my love of aviation with FSX and a joystick was not realistic for my general aviation background. The Saitek ProFlicht Yoke System is within my budget and still provides a near actual feel and capabilities that I desired. The only problem was mounting the units on my computer desk that has a front sloping edge. A quick trip to Home Depot for some foam weather stripping and commercial grade velcro allowed me to create a padding to compensate for the gap at the slope and also secure the units for good steady use. I strongly suggest the use of the ProFlight Rudder Pedals to complete the setup. They also work well mounted to a plastic chair mat with velcro. Using a Sharpie fine point pen to make an outline around the units makes it simple to re-install and find your velcro after a removal. I had my doubts about the plastic design but that has proven to be no problem. Windows 7 searched for the current Saitek software drivers and made the whole experience enjoyable. your site free shipping in 2 business days along with the best price was a plus.

I suppose its the best available for the price. Besides the much lauded metal shaft with bearings, I was surprised at how cheaply constructed this product is. It feels very fragile, like you could crack the thin plastic with little force. The throttle quad is also quote insubstantial, giving the impression that they could easily snap off. I guess Im just used to racing on my G25, a very high quality peripheral.
Also, I was surprised to learn that the yoke only has 45 degrees travel in either direction from center. Almost all aircraft yokes have 90 degrees travel from center. This makes for an undesireable input curve to the sim.
Again, in this price range its about the only thing available. Youll probably have to spend $700+ for the next best product. But still, on the basis of quality of materials and construction, this one is disappointing.

This yoke is great for simulator training. I am a flight instructor and like the realistic feel of a yoke compared to a mouse or joystick. Also, the throttle quadrant may be placed on either side of the yoke which is more realistic as an instructor usually sits on the right side of the airplane and uses these controls with the left hand. There are also a lot of switches and buttons that can be configured to match different airplanes. The yoke is very smooth (with a small shot of silicone) and other than being a little too sensitive (as I also mentioned in my review of the rudder pedals which I think is a problem with the simulator software and not the yoke) is a very nice piece of hardware. I am very pleased I bought this yoke. One other nice thing about Saitek is the options they have available.

I have flown single engine aircraft for 40 years (as of 12/31/09). I was not impressed with the Yoke feel and function. It did not smoothly represent the real control Yoke that I have felt in many different types of aircraft. I was impressed with the throttle controls. They felt real and functioned as in real aircraft. your site was fantastic about returning the product and gave me no hassles at all. I will be saving up and purchasing a $500 control Yoke in the future to satisfy my taste.

I received this product and right on time but at first i had a problem with the fact that the throttle quadrant would not fit into the yoke. Weather this was a shipment or company problem i do not know. The set up and software installment is extremely easy . There are several easy to reach buttons that if you are using Microsoft Flight Simulator 10 or 9 (fsx/fs9) Also if you are flying a variety of aircraft or using this on a number of games there is a small wheel in the back programmable to have different modes with different controls in which you can set using the easy to use Satiek software. there is a clamp on the bottom of the yoke which is easy to use. but BE WARNED if you have a keyboard drawer/pull out. you will either need to find a part on the desk were the yoke will fit or take the keyboard off.

The throttle: the throttle quadrant works well but if you are using fsx or fs 9 the only first programmed control is the throttle so you have tos et the other to. It dose come with different heads for them so you can change the controls. Sometimes it makes sort of a cracking noise but that is it.

All in all i say this is a usefull product though i probrably would have bought it for $80

Also i had no troubles with the phantom key problem .

This is a great yoke system at the right price, as it not only includes a yoke, but 3 lever throttle as well. I use it with MS Filght Sim X and it provides realistic performance and easy access to commonly use buttons and switches. I found this product on several web sites, but this one was about $40.00 less than the average purchase price. I would highly recomend this to anyone wanting to get more realism from their flight sim software. I plan to purchase the pedals and will provide feedback after testing them.
