We were disappointed that with the first use, our identification cards got stuck. The only way we can get them out is by putting in a larger, heavier item and pushing it out! This happens more frequently than with our former laminator (which finally burned out). Also, the flap broke off while trying to retrieve a stuck card and is no longer in use.

I would suggest trying a less expensive laminator to those who are tight financially.

This was perfect for what I needed. I am a home school teacher. I have been covering things with clear contact paper. It takes a long time and usually has wrinkles. This laminator works perfectly. It works smoothly and is great.

The laminator works as advertised and does a good job. I like not having to use a carrier. It seems to take a long time to heat up. I might be impatient but it usually is 15 minutes to heat up.

Great product! I have used it alot since I got it. I am a preschool teacher and I have used it to laminate all my pictures in my class. I have also used it to laminate several home made games, name tags and just lots of stuff to start the new school year out. I am very pleased with it and it operates so easy and smooth. It doesnt have the burning smell either. Has been a great product for me as a preschool teacher. It also did the 5 mil sheets. So happy laminating to all.

This is my second laminator and I use it frequently. I am fairly famous for laminating things and for some reason I like laminated things more than the average human does.

The product has a nice wide path for paper, it works well, takes no expertise at all to use and seems to be of fine quality. I bought another one as a gift and I just got a call from my sister where she let me know she was enjoying it and has been using it frequently.

If you are thinking about laminating, good for you. I recommend this product as a good solution for frequent home use and hope that you find it as useful as I do.

I like this laminator! The one I had at work was loud and smelly! lol This takes a bit of time to warm up, but you dont need a cover for whatever you laminate and to make things even better, it didnt cost me too much!! I also like that it comes with starter sheets. :)

I am looking for another Royal PL2112 after another one I bought died. It was only used 20-25 times, and jammed with a laminator pouch in the roller. I took the unit apart and learned that the problem was with gears in the electric motor. I am assuming that this was a freak event. However, if the next one has the same problem, I will post that fact here.

The laminator is heavy and well-built. Heating time is fairly quick for a laminator and pouches do not need a carrier. I have used different sized pouches up to 9x11 with no problem. Most of the times I used it was for laminating business cards. It can laminate them continuously--several at a time swince it is so wide.

The controls are simple: on/off and release. A red light indicates that it is heating up, and a green light indicates it is ready. The only feature I wish it had is some sort of timer. The unit gets rather hot, and I am always worried that someone will forget to turn it off.

This is a great personal machine! The finished product looks great! The machine is quiet, and easy to use - just plug, warm-up, then insert! When there was a jam, it was easy to remove and it didnt damage the machine. im glad that i got it...and what a great price!! Much better than going to office stores!!
