I recently bought this game and think its great. It has a fun and unique campaine and an awesome co-op and versus mode. THe only area where this game could improve is there is no oline multiplayer. THis gme is extremly unique. there are plenty of zombie games but there no other zombie game where you use plants to fight them.

If youve never played it before, I am sure youll enjoy the game. If you have the PC version of this game, dont bother getting this one.
I had this game for the PC and it was a lot of fun so I preordered this for Xbox. Mostly, I looked forward to playing the new versus and co-op modes. I have to say it was a disappointment. My complaints about this game:
1. The graphics is horrible. They basically took the same game in PC and put it on Xbox without upgrading the visuals. You cannot even read the names of the various plants and zombies nor the suns that each item costs on the television screen because the fonts are ridiculously small.
2. Was not happy that the versus and co-op modes are only for local players. You cannot play with other players online.
3. Versus mode is very unfair. Ive played and beat this game multiple times before on the PC version (which is exactly the same as the Xbox version) and there is no possible way you could beat the other (zombie) player if you are taking the side of the plants.
Overall, if youre a new player, you will probably enjoy the game. If you have played this game before, youre not missing much if you dont get the game for your console(s). In general, they did not really develop this game well to adapt to the console(s)...it seems like they just wanted to push the game out there while its still popular to make a few extra bucks.

PVZ is a great game and i have spent many hours playing it on the PC, but i dont find the xBox version very interesting. The game play is the same as on the PC, but it is harder to make quick moves without a mouse. The controls are more of a burden than they should be and i ended up thinking more about what buttons i was using than what i was planting or collecting.
Also, the game says that you can play 2-4 players online, but that is for the extra Peggle game i think (i dont know yet because i dont care to play the other two games on the disc. I was under the impression that i could jump on xBox live and be the zombies against someone who was planting. not the case with this game.
Its still a good game, but i would probably just stick with the PC version instead.

For the uninitiated, let me say that Plants vs. Zombies is an amazing game. Its fun/funny, and something that can be played in short bursts, or for hours (if you lose track of time...). The general idea is that of a tower defense strategy game. You gather sunshine so you can grow plants that have either offensive or defensive purposes, so you can protect yourself from the onslought of zombies. Its real-time, meaning that as you are planting the zombies are attacking.
Really the question here shouldnt be, should I buy Plants vs Zombies?. You should, but do you want this particular package? On the xbox 360 they have Plants vs. Zombies available as a downloadable arcade game for 1200 Microsoft Points (the equivalent of $15). Its the same game as whats offered on this disc. However, this disc includes the additional games Zuma and the amazing Peggle (a $5 and $10 value, respectively). Definately something to consider if you havent already purchased either of those games.
My one caveat would be that you cant install the games individually to your xbox, nor can you install the entire disc to the hard drive (this allows for shorter load times and for the system to run quietly. If you were to download the game it would automatically work this way). However, this has nothing to do with the actual game, just the package itself.
