I bought this subwoofer a month ago and wanted to make sure it worked well before I put a review up. Just to describe my setup for it, I have this subwoofer hooked up to a Sony amp that is rated at 1400 watts, with its settings set at about half. This sub sits in a 0.77 cubic inch sealed sub box in my trunk, which is open with the rest of the car. I have played every type of music out of it (Rap, Country, Rock, etc.)
The subwoofer does a really good job at pumping out the bass that is demanded from it. It seems to hit very low notes as well as high ranged notes within the realm of bass. It does a good job with holding the notes and does not die out in power. Even with only having the amp set at half power, this subwoofer still makes the car rattle and puts a thump in your chest every time it hits a quick note. I could still demand a lot out of this subwoofer however doing any higher of a setting for my car would begin to hurt the ears.
I put it in a sealed box because it is what is suggested for smaller cars with a open trunk. For cars with a separate or sealed truck, they suggest a ported box. However the manual that comes with the subwoofer explains the three different boxes it can be put in, as well as the size requirements and suggestions for the department. If you want a powerful, good sounding sub, I would suggest this. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased one TSW258D4 Subwoofer, fulfilled and sold by your site with free shipping, and received it in just 5 days. The first thing I noticed about this subwoofer is the weight. At about 14 pounds with a double stacked 74oz motor magnet assembly this thing means business. I have this sub connected to an Alpine MRP-M500 (500 Watts RMS) with the dual 4 Ohm voice coils wired in parallel delivering a 2 ohm load to the amplifier. The side by side wiring for the dual voice coils is very user friendly. I placed this subwoofer into a Rockford Fosgate P1L-110 enclosure. This enclosure is ported with 1.05 cubic feet of internal volume. I purchased this sub as an upgrade to the Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 1 sub that came with the enclosure. Im really glad I did as this sub is packed with performance!! It can hit all the low notes that the Rockford Fosgate sub couldnt even touch. It maintains excellent Sound Quality (SQ) and the power handling (350 Watts RMS) is accurate. It also delivers very impressive Sound Pressure Levels (SPL). Ive owned many different types of subs over the last 15 years that include older Pioneers, JBL, MTX, and Rockford Fosgate and hands down this new creation from Pioneer is my favorite. This sub can perform with the big boys at about half the price. I highly recommend this product!
