Ive had this unit for more than a year now. It is easy to use. Wish it would pump up the cuff faster, but its okay.
Just like some other reviewers, at first I was taken aback by the large spread in readings it can sometimes produce, but then I realized that it is expected from the units specification and this is probably what you can expect from home-use devices. The Specifications for the unit state Accuracy/Calibration = +/-3mm. What they probably really meant is Repeatability = +/- 3mm which, without getting too technical, means that if you sit there and take a bunch of readings, 68% of your readings would be within +/- 3mm of each other. It also means that 32% of your readings can be more than 6mm away from each other. It also means that in about 5% of your readings youll get values that are different from each other by as much as 12 mm.
I tested this. I sat there and made 20 readings, without moving the cuff or anything. Low and behold, the standard deviation came out approximately 3 mm, which means that Repeatability is +/- 3 mm.
So, to deal with this the unit has an average function, which will produce an average of 3 readings made in the last 10 minutes. This will improve the repeatability of your measurement to about +/- 1.5 mm.
Of course, positioning of the cuff can make a bigger difference, but the user just has to be careful there.
Note, that this says nothing about Accuracy. Accuracy measures how close your measurements are to your true blood pressure. Say your blood pressure is 120. You measure it 3 times and the unit produces: 130, 134, 128. The Repeatability is +/- 3mm, i.e. the spread in readings, but the average reading is 10.6 mm above the true blood pressure, and therefore the Accuracy is at least 10 mm. Good accuracy is much much harder to build than good repeatability and so home-use devices dont do that well. I think this is why people get unpleasantly surprised when they take their unit into a doctors office and compare readings. If the measurements are ALWAYS 10 mm above, this is good, because you can just subtract 10 every time. But it is hard to know that this is the case.
BOTTOM LINE: I usually make 3 readings, take an average, and I use Omron Elite 7300 to monitor changes in my blood pressure, without worrying too much about absolute numbers. At least I try not to.

I purchased this item out of recommendation by Consumers Report and again, what were they thinking? Why did it not have a port for the AC power adapter? Again, I am not sure if I even want to try out the product knowing that the battery power might be insufficient enough to provide Omron Womens Advanced Elite 7300W the power it needs to function. I am shocked by Consumers Report incompetency. What if the batteries provided was not powerful enough to supply the automatic blood pressure monitor the performance it needs? I am very apprehensive in trying out that product.

This is a very good monitor to use on a especially when on vacation. Easy to set-up and has a guest function that allows a second person to take a blood pressure. Unfortunately, the guest function is not recorded. The readings seem to be correct compared to the standard equipment used by health care providers and a wrist monitor. The larger cuff seems to be less precise and takes some practice to use correctly. Ive used other products is this is the best so far. It travels well and takes up little space (without carrying both cuffs).

This unit works well and is straight forward. While not up to a professional grade, it should do nicely for anyone needing to monitor their BP.

Monitor arrived earlier than indicated - always a plus. It is comfortable and seems to be consistent. Only minor issue is the velcro snags when put away and this makes putting it on slightly more difficult. By the way I am a male - dont know why it is marketed to women - works fine for men, too.

This product Omron Elite 7300W Womens Avanced Blood Pressure Monitor was highly rated by a consumer magazine and I now know why. It is easy to use, has convenient memory functions, and seems pretty accurate. Just keep in mind that, like all automated bp kits, the cuff squeezes (For a few moments)very uncomfortably hard. It has to in order to get an accurate reading.

This product is excellent. I am a critical care nurse and happen to have hypertension. I was worried about purchasing an accurate blood pressure home monitor, because of their questionable accuracy. I researched online and found this product was highly recommended by many different sites. I have not been disappointed. My doctor checked the machine with their manual cuff in the office and also was impressed with accuracy. The machine does store your blood pressure in its memory, so you can take it with you to the doctor and show them your blood pressures using the machine itself. Excellent!

There is a reason that Consumer Reports gave this the highest rating - because it is excellent. I have no idea why it is marketed as a womens product, but (as even CR points out) it has two arm bands that cover a range of arm sizes. I have 17 biceps and the larger cuff fits comfortably with room to spare. I could say I have 24 biceps, but that would be lying...

I read many other reviewers comments about this and other blood pressure monitors and decided to go with this one. I am convinced that I made the right choice. This product is very easy to assemble and even easier to use. It comes with a handy carrying case (with zipper closure) and includes an inside pocket for pen and small notepad if youre recording your readings. Lightweight and very easy to travel with.
It is not just for women! The product comes with two arm sizes of arm cuffs so you can choose the size that fits you best. I highly recommend this.

Couldnt ask for more! 2 different size cuffs, perfect for multi-person household. Ive had this for over six months, have no complaints. Even took it to the Drs office to compare the reading and it was almost identical. It was a great price for a terrific product, that due to health issues, I really needed. My doctor had recommended I buy a bp monitor and was pleased with the choice. You have to care for your health and this is a great help. I cant imagine anyone being unhappy with it, unless it was a true factory defect, which happens on occassion with any product. I would recommend it to anyone needing to keep track of their BP.

My husband has high blood pressure and wanted to be proactive. We bought this cuff based on a consumer purhasing report from a major magazine. the ladies style isnt so tight fitting as the males, doesnt fill up with such strength that it feels like your arm is going to fall off. We both can use it. Great value! Sturdy and easy to travel with!

First off, dont let the word Womens in the name of this product fool you. It includes two different size arm cuffs and I guess Omron was thinking that with the larger cuff it would be beneficial for pregnant women.
This is our second Omron BP Monitor. The first was a Hem-711. I learned it was reading high. When I first ordered this new monitor it too measured high. I checked it against the BP reading at the local fire department, emergency room, and automatic bp machine at a local drug store. I sent the first one back and got a replacement and the new one seems to be spot on accurate. I learned that my old Omron was consistently giving inaccurately high readings. I chose this particular unit because its, at the time of this writing, the highest rated one by Consumer Reports.
Its got a nice feature in that it will maintain the last eighty-eight BP readings and provide an average. The one flaw is that it will only do this for one person. I think a large majority of households that have a BP monitor need to use it for at least two people. It would have been nice if this had an option to program for at least two different people. Instead, it has a guest option this allows for another person to get a reading and it wont affect the average BP readings of the primary user.
It comes with a very handy little case and thus would be easy to pack for travel. If Omron would have allowed programming for multiple (at least two) users so the memory in the unit will remember two sets of averages then this would be pretty much the perfect machine for us. Accordingly, one of us has to maintain a daily record of our readings manually to get a good idea of our average BP. This is not too big of a hassle but if youre into modern technology, as I am, then, unless youre single, youll likely feel the same way, especially if your spouse too is into modern technology. Then its who has to be the Guest and maintain their own records?

Omron Elite 7300W Womens Avanced Blood Pressure MonitorTwo cuff sizes are great, noisy environments are no problem, dropping it wont spill mercury, and visibility is very good. Could use 2 or 3 personal user records rather than 1 and Guest, only the one user has records kept, which means you dont need to write down your BP immediately. A hardy, easily used and stored package. Maybe a PC connection to transfer records would be another good add.

I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. After doing research on blood pressure monitors, I chose the Omron Elite. I couldnt be happier with my purchase! It is very simple to use and more importantly, you dont have to have a medical degree to read the results. Not sure why it is called a womens monitor...my husband has no problems using it and the arm band fits him just fine. Great monitor, you wont be disappointed.
