Great toy, we all learned the call of the male cardinal. Simple electronic voice box, but my autistic son asked for it and actually learned the bird call. My only complaint is that the batteries are not replaceable.

Bought this for my 8yr.old, the no. cardinal is his favorite bird, color, sports team etc... He loves it and now wants to collect more of these birds. Great sound quality, detailing, soft, nice size for collecting... fun for all ages!

I ordered the red birds for our 3 yr old twin granddaughters to help with my story telling about all the animals in the woods so they will grow up with an appreciation for nature and understand the animals around them. We spend many hours feeding and watching birds and squirrels and wanted them to share our enjoyment. I wasnt aware the cardinals made sounds, but the girls love them. The button inside moves around making it a little difficult to make the birds sing - I caught them jumping up and down on the birds to get the sound; I dont think that feature will last very long. We told them the birds are saying Pretty, pretty.
They are a good value for the money. Very soft and just the right size for their little hands. Unfortunately, without thinking, I gave the birds a female name then realized they should have a male name, but its too late to change them now. Ill explain later the difference between the males and females, but for now, theyre happy.

I love this toy because the cardinal is the state bird of Ohio and, I love mailing gifts to friends around the world that are particular to where I live. Its fun to share things that are unique to certain places! Also, this is a very cool toy in that it sings! It would be nearly impossible to include every song cardinals sing, but they choose a very cool one!!! I am currently mailing one to my internet friend in Australia. She sent me a small stuffed kangaroo!!! Finally, this is one of my most favorite bird species that live in my back yard. Theyre bright, colorful and full of songs! Seeing one always cheers my day and reminds me that God is still on his throne! :D

Each of these birds is cuter than cute and superior to a regular stuffed animal because it contains the bird call specific to each. My children are collectors - we now have NINE different birds. They received the first one as a gift and loved it so much that they wanted more. They provide lots of imaginative play. Delightful!
