This white noise machine served us very well in effectively blocking out traffic, construction, and human noise while we stayed in several hotels in northern Italy. We had our choice to utilize heavy rain sounds on one end of the spectrum, and waterfall/ocean wave sounds on the other. Either one was quite acceptable to us. In addition, there is a volume control that helps you negate variable undesirable clamor from outside your room. The electrical adaptor supplied with the machine was not appropriate for Italy, but we purchased an inexpensive plug in a Milano store which worked quite well.

In the 10 years that Ive been on-line, I think this is the first time Ive written a review on your site. My family and I love this product so much that I just *had* to write something. Four out of five of us are addicted to sleeping with white noise machines. In the past, while traveling abroad, we have had poor results with our standard noise machines; theyd often blow up after being plugged into the wall, even while using an adaptor, so wed have to use the hotel bathroom fan to create some kind of noise to sleep by! This summer, I decided to investigate into a noise machine that actually works in Europe -- which is where we were going on vacation. I found the Marsona brand, read the reviews, and decided to take a leap of faith. It was either that, or not sleep for 2 weeks of our vacation!

Bought 2 machines (one for each hotel room) and then read, in the pamphlet, that the reason regular noise machines dont work in Europe -- even with adaptors -- is that the adaptors are meant for appliances (like blowdryers) that arent utilized for very long amounts of time. Those appliances are only used for 5 or 10 minutes, and the adaptors can sense that and can handle that. However, noise machines are used for a good 8 hours through the night! Adaptors cant handle that! While the Marsona model also has an adaptor attached to it, you shouldnt worry! The difference is that the Marsona model is built differently and can sense that it is being used for a long period of time. Simply....it can handle it!

These machines have 2 kinds of noise for your listening pleasure, and the actual range of volume that they produce is fantastic! My kids like them better than our regular noise machines! We used them in Iceland, Amsterdam, Saltzburg, and Munich. I am so thankful that we got 2 weeks of wonderful, worry-free sleep on our vacation. In very large part, it was due to these machines!

I really like this product for helping with my light sleeping. It offers several different white noise type sounds that are constant. Masks noise that interrupt sleep, etc.

This compact unit will be good for travel but is overpriced. Also, the on-off switch feels cheap. However, otherwise nicely designed with functional controls. I dont know of other units that dont require you to cart along a heavy transformer when traveling abroad. The sound is adjustable in volume and tone which is good, as otherwise treble too high.

Nice unit for home and travel. Doesnt take up much room and performs admirably. Just the white noise I need for a restful sleep without distractions. An excellent choice - Marsona knows their stuff!

This Marsona white noise machine just arrived yesterday and I plugged it in last night. I slept all night for the first time since I dont remember when. It has an automatic dual voltage feature so I can use it on my trips to Europe. Beautiful.

I am glad I purchased this product because it doesnt take very much room for traveling. In addition, I use it at home when I need white noise. So, if you need a machine to help you sleep, you may find this beneficial. I purchased another machine from Marpac, but it broke. your site gave me a gift card to compensate, and I decided to purchase this one for international traveling, and I am pleased that I did.

We have the regular round Marpac that we have packed and taken with us on every trip so that my daughter can sleep better when away from home. This travel version has the same great quality as the original and is much lighter and less bulky, too. I still need to tweak the settings to try and get the sound just right but I have no doubt Ill be able to do it. Highly recommend Marpac products.

We bought the international version of this sound machine for use while traveling.
Having just returned from a 2-week trip, I can say that this machine performed as I hoped it would.

The machine is light enough and small enough to pack easily in a suitcase. It comes with its own little travel pouch. With the volume cranked all the way up, I find that it is loud enough to mask a lot of my husbands snoring sounds and other extraneous noise.

The selection of sounds is pretty limited - only two different sounds, plus a blend of both that is controlled by a sliding lever. That may be a problem for some people, but it is not for me, as I just need to have good loud-enough white noise to drown out other sounds while Im sleeping.

Paris hotel, tiny room, I snore, she cant sleep. This sound machine worked. The sound is loud enough and doesnt seem to have a repeating pattern. The included plug was the correct one and we enjoyed Paris at Christmas time. However, the great wine may have also helped.

We bought this as a white noise maker for our kids. We travel internationally so we needed something that is small and easy to take along. This definitely is! Our kids sleep so much better with the familiar sound in the background and adjust faster to their new enviroment. Plus, no draft from the fan that we used to use

I wasnt sure if this unit would be loud enough to make any difference due to its small size, but it puts out a good amount of noise. It doesnt loop either, like the cheaper imitations. I highly recommend this.

Love this even better than I thought I would. Its much smaller than previous models. It has a lot of versatility packed in one little unit. Very user friendly and keeps me asleep each night. Also love that I can travel out of the country with this little guy, too.

The Marpac sound conditioners are, without question, the best. Ive used various devices to achieve white noise. I can say with considerable experience that the Marpac ones are more durable and worth every penny. This version (the TSCi) has the distinct advantage of having a built-in voltage coverter which permits it to be used outside the US with only a plug adapter (the European adapter is included). Some years ago, my husband fried a previous white noise machine by plugging it in without the voltage adapter and I realized that its a very handy feature. Likewise, the Marpac products last a lot longer than those made by other companies. Weve had several from Sharper Image whose connections have broken out in no time. My husband has a mechanical machine which is >20 yrs. old; Ive one which is >15 yrs. old. This smaller, electronic version, is perfect for travel (or home). We just returned from a week-long trip to Europe and it worked fabulously. My husband frequently travels to Africa where power outages are common and hotels are very noisy. Hes looking forward to using it with the optional battery pack on his next trip.
