BRIEF SUMMARY
- The Kinesio Taping Method involves taping over and around muscles in order to assist and give support or to prevent over-contraction.
- Kinesio Taping affects the activation of the neurological system, the bodys information processor and the circulatory system.
- Since the introduction of Kinesio Taping into the US, medical practitioners from PTs, ATCs, OTs, DCs, MTs, to MDs have recognized and embraced this effective, safe and best of all, easy-to-use modality
- The method and tape allow the individual to receive the therapeutic benefits 24 hours per day with both comfort and ease, because it can be worn for several days per application.
- Currently, Kinesio Taping is used in hospitals, clinics, high schools and by professional sports teams including the olympics.

The major effects of Kinesio taping are correcting muscle function, improving circulation of blood and lymph, relieving pain, and repositioning the subluxation joints.
Kinesio Athletic Tape is latex free, and is durable for 3-4 days of use. Kinesio Athletic Tape is an elastic athletic tape of extremely high quality, and was specifically designed by Dr. Kenzo Kase to provide exceptional results for Kinesio Taping. KinesioAthletic Tape was designed to be worn on the skin for an extended period of time (3-4 days) without irritation, as well as during strenuous exercise or hydrotherapy. The adhesive is not only heat activated, but also will not leave any residue when removed.
Kinesio® Athletic Tape is FDA approved, and patent protected. Kinesio® Athletic Tape has an elasticity of 140%, which matches the same basic elasticity found in ones skin and muscles, allowing Kinesio taping to work with your body. This provides full range of motion, support, and stability, without adversely affecting the natural range ofmotion. For excellent results, Kinesio® Athletic Tape should be applied at least 30 minutes prior to exercise in order for the heat activated adhesive to adjust and bond with the skin temperature.
In conjunction with the Kinesio Taping Method, Kinesio Athletic Tape is frequently used for clinical applications such as patella femoral, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff, etc. Kinesio Athletic Tape is more expensive than conventional athletic tape, but due to the quality and usage, Kinesio Athletic Tape is actually more economical Product photo may not exactlymatch the product offered for sale. This is my second purchase. Great product and this vendor kept well within promised product delivery time. I find using this tape is a great way to protect and manage my chronic meniscus weakness/pain. I can play tennis for a couple of hours and take Zumba class too! ; )

Kinesio tape is a great product to use either for training or everyday use, depending on your need. I use it on runs to help with pain and inflammation around my knees....I highly recommend this product, HOWEVER ask your chiropractor or PT as to how and where exactly to use the tape because this is not just a simple athletic tape, it needs to be applied in specific directions with or without tension to achieve the best results.

I ordered the kinesio tape for a knee cap problem (chondria malacia patella). It has been great! It helps support my knee without being restrictive, hot or bulky. It helps re-educate the kneecap and helps it to track correctly. I use it every time I workout and then leave it on during the day. It does well in the shower and it comes off the skin without irritating it.

This tape is very helpful in relieving knee pain from osteoarthritis. I use an unloader brace when I am doing lifting or general work. The tape allows me the freedom to dress however I wish without the need to accommodate the brace. I am really glad that I found the product!

I have purchased several different tapes from the drug store. This tape works great and can be worn several days before you need to change it.

I suffered a ankle sprained a month ago and have been using the tape since the start of week 3. The tape has done its work helping to heal without any bulky wrapping.

After my sciatica diagnosis, I went to my physical therapist who ice massaged, exercised, and then kinesiotaped me up for a month before I needed to travel north where there are stairs and hills. I ran out of kinesiotape and so ordered some on line which thankfully arrived soon enough for me to use it to relieve the pain and strain caused by climbing. The kinesiotape worked out so well that I could go up and down stairs and up and down the hills near Pittsburgh, taking care of grandchildren and dog walking.

This tape actually works as close as can possible to how its described. My wife had a pulled calf muscle and had seen suggestions for using this tape to support the muscle during recovery. By applying the tape, she was able to walk when she had a significant limp before. When she removed the tape, the limp returned, although it was lessened by the recovery during the day. Overall, a good product.

I ordered this tape after running a marathon and having my back flare up after 18 miles. Someone I was running with said she had similar symptoms and this type of tape worked wonders for her.
I had a friend tape me up based on the picture on the Kinesio website. I thought it might straighten me up constantly, but it did not. Or at least it didnt feel like it.
The tape stayed on well for 3-4 days, even through workouts and showers. The horizontal strip of tape rolled up a bit on the bottom, but it was just a small area.
Ive used it for several long training runs and have not experienced the same pain that I did in the marathon. So I guess its working!

I have a condition in my hand that gives me localized pain, its a form arthritis. Ive found the patch type product Salonpas Salonpas-Pain Relieving Patch, 120 Patches does an excellent job of relief. However it wont stay on after your hands get a little sweaty. I first tried athletic tape and that works ok...but what I didnt like was that 1) its too stiff 2) it only comes in white. I like to camoflage the bandage.
Anyway this stuff does the trick. The beige color kind of blends in with your skin, and this stuff doesnt fall off when you are sweaty. It doesnt fall off until you take it off. It is great. I will be a lifelong customer.

I am a CKTP...or Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. I am also a sports med. doctor and treat amateur and professional athletes. I can attest to the fact that you need a good knowledge of kinesiology and biomechanics to maximize the effects of this tape. The tape can be used to facilitate and inhibit muscle function, mechanically correct joint and soft tissue issues, functionally correct impaired movement patterns, and is great for lymph/circulation issues.
The problem nowadays is that every runner/triathlete/athlete want to go out and buy this tape, or Rocktape, and slap it on. Mind you, if its applied incorrectly, you risk significant damage to your body. For example, if you wish to facilitate a muscle and you end up inhibiting it, you can do yourself a lot of harm, especially over the course of a sporting event.
Its best to see a CKTP before you play around with this stuff. Unless you know your anatomy and kinesiology at a very high level, this tape should not be used. Sure, people dont want to see a professional as it means taking time, a co-pay, etc...but, being you can alter the function of your musculoskeletal system, its probably worth it to know the correct application of the tape for your issue(s) before you do something that could potentially create harm.
Just my two cents.

I received my first order of this tape and am simply amazed. I had a shoulder injury that kept me from playing tennis. Now I tape up the shoulder and am good to go! Also, I hadnt had a date in over two years, so I used the recommended taping techique, and less than a week later Ive gotten laid five times! Im gonna try accupuncture next. If tape can do this, I can only imagine what needles will do!

I love kinesio tape, and with perpetually sprained ankles, I use it a lot. When I ran out of my old tape (purchased in Germany, couldnt find it online), I ordered this on your site.
Good:
- Strong tape
- Good flexibility; not too loose or too tight
- Easy to tear backing without stretching the tape itself (makes it easier to apply)
- Probably most important--IT WORKS. If you are reluctant to buy kinesio tape at all, just order one role and try it out. It is definitely worth the cost for the almost immediate relief. (However, I should also point out that its best to have a doctor or chiropracter do your first few applications, so you know exactly where the tape is supposed to be placed on your injury. Some people will even tell you that ONLY a doctor or chiropractor should apply this, but those people are probably made of money as well.)
Bad:
- If you want to use this on your feet, and you shower at least once a day, it wont last as long as it claims. I purposely ordered the water resistent tape because it was supposed to be better for use on feet, but it only lasts 2-3 days before I need to change it. The other tape I was using would last for 5-6.
Overall, good kinesio tape, but I will keep looking for a better water-resistent variety.

I have used Kineso tape for about a month. I put a strip on the bottom of my foot and it seems to help reduce the swelling in my ankles. In addition to the tape, I also wear the stockings given when you have surgery - compression. When I get dressed up and wear skirt, dress, or capris,or wear open toe shoes, I use the tape. With slacks, I wear the stockings. The combination really helps the swelling.

My wife was introduced to Kinesio Tex Tape by a physiotherapist when she could not get any relief from her back pain caused by herniated discs. She has been using the tape for three years now and finds that it relieves her pain. She still has some discomfort from nerve pulses in her foot and leg but the tape and lots of exercise
and Norwegian type of leg pulling help her enormously. We recommend it to all our friends who suffer from back pain.
