Ive read the positive and negative reviews thus far and I think they are all correct, actually. The product is cheap - but thats what its supposed to be. I personally cannot afford to install a proper screen door, so I was very happy to find a makeshift alternative.
I kept my expectations low. As someone else said, the material is indeed exactly like the cheap $5 popup laundry hampers. Which is fine with me.
I can see that the metal framing that supports the unit could be warped on some individual products. On mine, it wasnt warped, so Im happy.
The measurements happened to fit my door very nicely, but do measure yours and make sure its a good match. It is large and could be too large for some doors.
One side is installed by sticking a long roll of velcro to the door frame via adhesive. Ours seems to be sticking fine.
The other side has 2 hook and loop attachments. I decided not to install it because it seemed like it would be a pain to fumble around with it every time (I wanted the screen door specifically so we can just breeze in and out the back). I got some velcro at the hardware store and installed 3 x 1 inch strips at the top, middle and bottom. It sticks to the door side ok but I dont think it would hold up to a lot of traffic or aggressive use. I might try to sew it into the fabric if its a problem but so far (1 week) its fine.
But, all that said, Im happy. It does the job I wanted. It fits the door. It keeps the bugs out. I dont even think its that ugly. I dont, however, think it would hold up to aggressive use, like little kids barreling in and out of it all the time or just a lot of traffic. But if you just want a breeze coming in, and if your traffic in and out is not that high or aggressive, it is great for the money.
BTW it took about 7 minutes total for me to set up, though that doesnt count the hook and eye screw since I skipped it.

I really love this product. It is easy to install and perfect for my needs. It lets in air and light my dogs and cat sit by it and can look outside. We have an outside back door that opens out so this was a perfect solution.

The already well written reviews tell most of it. For the price and effort to set up great. I did not like the hooks as I dont like things poking out. I discovered after putting it together some of the soft velcro used to hold the reinforcements that are placed at the center of the door on either side is exposed. So I got 2 small pieces of velcro and attached them to the door frame of the house on the handle side of the screen door. My velcro had a sticky back and I stapled the rough part of two pieces of my velcro on the door frame and that is sufficient to hold the door closed. Note that my door does not experience winds that would pull it open.

I love this screen. I live with a dog and a cat. I have a garage that I open, and there is a yard in the back where they have no view of people and animals going by, which they love. so I open my door, put something against it so it doesnt slam, and I have this screen on with their bed right on the floor for them to lay on. It has been an awesome thing for me. I go in and out doing laundry and grilling. I can work on my computer and see outside too. I just leave it on. I think people are expecting too much out of it. stick the strip on, screw the hooks onto the other side and there you go. If I could, I would attach a pic for everybody to see!

We live in a basement apartment that has few windows and none open! So we needed something that would allow us to leave the door open on occasion. This fit the bill pretty well. The fold up/pop up ability made it nice and easy to store since we are short on storage space. The connection to the door frame system is easy enough...its a veclro strip. You just leave the strip of velcro on the door frame and attach the door when you feel like it. The only problem is, the velcro glue didnt hold forever. It started to peel off the door frame after a few months. A simple trip to Lowes for some heavy duty velcro might solve that problem though. They give you a metal hook and eye set as an open and closure method but we have a metal door frame and opted for some 3M Command key hooks that work perfectly. Overall, this door is cheap and wont last forever but it will last you through quite a few summers and springs.
