For people like me that have equipment placed over a large area, Long USB cables are a must. The D-Link 15 USB 2.0 Cable Type A-B is a quality cable providing the extra length needed to reach equipment located in far away places. The cable supports USB 2.0. My cable connects my scanner to my computer. I see no difference from a short cable to this long one. Both speed and image quality is excellent. If you need a long USB 2.0 Cable this is one to put at the top of your list.
