Description:
Curtain Call includes three new songs--'Fack,' 'Shake That' (featuring Nate Dogg) and 'When I'm Gone'--both written and produced by Eminem. In addition, the Curtain Call bonus track marks the album premiere of the controversial Eminem-Elton John live duet of 'Stan' from the 2001 Grammy Awards presentation.
Curtain Call: The Hits spans contributions from all four of Eminem\'s major-label solo albums: 1999s quadruple-platinum The Slim Shady LP, 2000s nine-times-platinum The Marshall Mathers LP, 2002s eight-times-platinum The Eminem Show, and 2004s Encore, which is almost five times platinum. The three most recent charted #1 Pop and #1 R&B/Hip-Hop, with his major-label debut #2 Pop and #1 R&B/Hip-Hop. Each of his first three albums also won the Best Rap Album Grammy (Encore will be eligible for the 2006 presentation). Eminem has to date sold more than 65 million albums.

I love this CD, not like I ran out to buy it when it first came out or anything but its a great CD. Like the greatest hits, even though hes not quite done making music yet. Id totally recommend this to anyone who wants all the greatest hits from Eminem.

One of the best selling artists of all time, Marshall Bruce Matters III aka Eminem has made quite an impression on rap music and music in general. Eminem released some great and very successful albums, sold millions and won many awards. It surprised many when he decided to take a break and perhaps even end his music career so soon. Released back in 2005 this Greatest Hits covering Eminems career, Curtain Call, was called that way because it could very well have been the final Curtain Call for Em. Since then Eminem has gone on to produce other artists and hes recently made a comeback in 2009 with album Relapse, Relapse: Refill and more recently in 2010, Recovery. Curtain Call is great compilation of Eminems career up until that point; it includes the hits, lesser-known songs and 3 new ones. The casual fan will be happy to know that just about every single hit up to that point is included, songs like My Name Is, Stan, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me and Just Loose It are all covered here. The hardcore fan will be happy to know that Curtain Call also features a version of Stan performed live in 2001 with Elton John, new songs and Lose Yourself from the 8 Miles soundtrack, great additions I must say.
Those looking just for the hits and a few songs they like will be satisfied with this if they want to remember some of Eminems older work. What worked with Curtain Call is that there were three new songs on it, and good ones. I thought Shake That was pretty good but Id say When Im Gone was the best out of three and it was a big hit, its a touching and reflective song for Em. The hits are here, theres extra songs and it mixes all well together, Curtain Calls is a very good compilation of Eminems career up to that point. 4 stars.

Eminems best work. Really. If you have all his albums, all studio albums, its not necessary to purchase, because you have all these song on this CD. Definitely worthy if you want to support.

Great Cd I loved it. And dont worry about all of the 1 star ratings. go ahead and read them all of them are not bout the CD just people that dislike rap or Eminem. They have nothing to do with the CD
