The Boss cx250 is a great Amp for the money. I have it bridged to a Pioneer TSW251R 600 Watt 10 Sub and it sounds really, really good. (Bridged is the way to go) Its much louder and hits much harder than I expected. Has an integrated crossover, adjustable frequency and bass boost, and a remote level control. It also looks awesome! I cant tell you how many people see this amp and cant believe what I paid for it. It only requires a 20Amp fuse and 8-guage wire, so anyone with a set of pliers can crimp the connectors (No soldering required).
On the down side, it runs hot. The amp is about the size of a ream of copy paper and shouldnt be mounted under your seat. (It wouldnt fit under the driver seat of my 02 S-10) dont go by the max rating. In bridged mode this amp is rated at 400watts max / 250 sustained. After running this amp for about a week I couldnt help but wonder What it I got something more powerful?
Overall, Im very happy with my purchase. Would definitely buy again / recommend this amp. The features and performance are astonishing for the asking price. Its the perfect cornerstone of a budget build.
