I use one on a 3001 Bogan Tripod - a good match.
Good for 200-300 telephoto lenses, and spotting scopes.
Fast easy tracking.
Drawbacks:
1. Adjustments can be tightened/ loosened, but not locked.
2. Quick release bracket would be nice.
