This product works exactly as its supposed to. After checking many other similar hubs, I decided to get this one. Im handicapped & use a laptop that has 3 USB ports, so any USB add-ons would also be on my lap too.

Not only did I want additional ports, but my lap was becoming overcrowded. This device, with a 3 extension cable (also from your site) has allowed me to relocate my electronics shop to a nearby table. Now I have 7 ports and no device clutter.

Before purchasing the hub I was concerned about problems others had experienced using hubs & extensions. This Belkin hub used with an extension cable from your site & then a device has been totally flawless. All USB items Ive used have operated just the way they would if plugged directly into the PC.

Once again your site & Belkin came through with terrific service - quality items, delivered fast & at a great price.

I bought this USB hub to use with my Macbook Pro. As a USB hub, its perfectly with my Macbook Pro, with absolutely no connectivity problems and all ports working correctly. The problem is with the cord, which is far too short. The cord that plugs into the computer is only about **5 long**, and for me, that negates the usefulness of a USB hub. Im not even sure I can think of a situation in which a cord this short would be a benefit.

I take my laptop to work almost every day, and I intended to use this device to help me quickly connect/disconnect my USB devices all at once, as well as to move the mess of USB cables from my computers side to the back of my desk. This hub just made my desk even more of a mess. I have my laptop elevated a few inches on a stand, so when using this device, the actual hub portion dangles down from the USB port of my computer, barely scraping the desk. The short cable means that the tangle of cables plugged into the hub is even more in the way than if they were plugged directly into the computer.

I realize this is called an ultra mini hub, but nowhere in the products description was the cord length given, so theres no way for a buyer to know about this problem, unless he or she happens to see it mentioned in a review. And aside from the primary purpose of providing more ports, many people buy USB hubs to hide the mess of cables, replacing 4 or 6 cables with just 1. So if youre in the market for a USB with a stub of a cord, this works well. If you actually want a cord, look elsewhere.

My primitive laptop only has 2 USB ports so i bought 2 of these mini hubs. Now i can plug in all the gadgets i need and they all work perfectly. There are many similar products available that do the same job but cost a lot more. Why buy anything else?

This USB hub works great as long as youre using items that dont need a great deal of electricity. If you need more power, look for a hub that has its own power source.

My laptop only has two usb drives and they are stacked on top of each other so I cannot stress how helpful of a product is; and at the affordable price, I would argue its an essential. Great purchase, Im happy with my product, buy with confidence

Works great out of the box.... I am only able to use multiple low power accessories on the hub.... I tried using a portable hard drive and my zune and my ereader all at the same time and the zune and ereader worked but the hard drive wasnt getting the necessary power needed and wasnt operating correctly..... could just be my computer... other wise awesome product

I actually bought this just to bump the cost of my order up to enough to get free shipping, but when it turned out that the cable on the numeric keypad that I ordered was too short, it was handy to have as an extension.

This device makes it easy to expand your USB bus. I use it to connect multiple USB devices at the end of a long USB cable. After buying the first one, I bought a second one for another computer.

While the device works flawlessly with most devices, it may not work with some devices that consume too much power. For those devices, I use a different externally powered USB hub.

I love the Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub. Its small, easy to use and I can take it anywhere with my laptop. It works great and it doesnt require a power outlet. I received it in a couple days and was very satisfied with my purchase.

Its good overall and works, no real delay when transferring data but I use it for connecting 3 wireless devices(mouse, keyboard, and HTPC remote) and an external HD, and it gets hot, even without all these connections it gets warm. If you need this for transportation purposes then this is for you.

My printer, scanner, speakers and TV tuner are all working perfectly with the Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra Mini Hub F5U407. Its on a Compaq laptop running Windows 7; all are powered through the hub except the printer.

I use my USB ports on my laptop ALL the time and I thought it would be more convenient and easier just to have a hub. This one works well and keeps things organized. Makes it much easier to travel around -- just plug/unplug one USB instead of multiple ones.

So far so good :)

this hub works fine for me so far. there is no software to install . I am using it on a windows xp machine. The only problem I have is that i have to reach around my computer tower to plug anything into it. It has a very short cord but for the price is well worth what I paid for it. This would be excellent for a laptop.I dont think it fair to give it a bad review because of my own lazyness . I would buy another one if the need were there.
