The AL224 tritium watch is part of the Armourlite ColorBrite Series. The name is derived from the fact that these watches feature 3D colored luminescent numbers and tritium markers. The tritium markers by each number and the hour and minute hands are made with Swiss MB Microtec tritium gas vials, thus enabling these items to stay lit continuously all night and every night without the need for a battery or a push of any button. The 3D numbers feature a new technology in which they are charged via light source and retain some luminescence(time depends on the length of light exposure) also without the need for a battery or a push of any button. Besides luminescent components, Armourlite ColorBrite watches are made with a shatterproof, scratch resistant high impact glass crystal. These watches also feature a double tempered black stainless steel housing and a crown protector, which protects the crown from being damaged in the event you bump into something.
