Co-purchased with my daughter as a xmas gift for a serious birder, my 10 year old grandson. Armed with his spotting scope, tripod and a digital camera-along with the new Alpen binos, he is now fully equipped to pursue his avid interest. During a recent South Florida birding trip-where I drove him to several excellent birding sites, I had a chance to witness his success in spotting far-off birds with his new binos. He tells me that the quality compares well to his birding buddys $300 8 x 42s.
I can vouch to the clear, bright view, light weight and ease of focus. Perfect gift for a young person-and used by him daily! He is very happy with his Alpens!
