The AlcoHAWK PT500 is the newest unit in the AlcoHAWK Series line of breath alcohol testers. It incorporates our PT Core fuel-cell sensor, which is not subject to interference from acetone and offers enhanced linear accuracy over traditional semi-conductor sensors. The simple menu-driven operation allows you to quickly and accurately screen for the presence of alcohol up to 0.400 percent BAC. The AlcoHAWK PT500 also features a large, easy-to-read back-lit LCD display. The AlcoHAWK PT500 is the ideal unit for law enforcement roadside screening, corrections, probation officers, substance abuse clinics, boating, military, and many other areas of professional testing in which fuel-cell accuracy and reliability is required. Really easy to use this product. Remeber to buy more blowing tubes. That is the only down fall, becuase you do not get many with the original purchase.

This item is easy to use, and I believe it is reliable - when we received it however the volume and force of the exhaled breath to get this device to register was too much for my wife to be able to do, and I could barely exhale long enough and forcefully enough to get it to read a blood alcohol level. I sent it back for adjustment and now it works great!

I guess it works. Its fairly simple to use and carries the reading to thousandths. Its been interesting to see how I feel at .08, and its turned into a party toy. Be advised that the instructions say to get it calibrated after 200 uses, and the recalibration cost about $30. There is no giant headline telling you that at the point of purchase.

Easy to use, appears to be accurate and you do not need to blow as long as I did with my older and cheaper meter. Just make sure you wait after your last drink, for at least 10 min. And drink some water before the test. Alcohol traces in your mouth seem to really influence the reading and give a much higher result. But I think that goes for all meters. I recommend it!

The Alcohawk PT500 alcohol tester is as good as a much larger machine costing twice as much. I used
to have a much larger fuel cell machine until it was stolen out of my car when I brought my car to be
serviced.I recently bought the PT 500 from your site. The accuracy is listed as .005 or - at 05%. I would
say its probably more like or - .001. It quickly always gives the same values and maybe down .001 as the
kidneys uses the alcohol. This machine is necessary if you drink and drive afterwards. A wonderful machine.

I am very happy with the PT500. I had 2 on the past and this is as good if not better than my previous 2. I believe the test are correct. I would buy this item again!

After negatively reviewing and returning the BACTRACK breathalyzer, I ordered this one as a replacement, hoping for better results. Yes, it is a lot more expensive, but it works and it works great. It has several settings and keeps count of the total number of readings. So far it has seemed to be very accurate. The only minor downside is that although the blow time can be set from 3 - 8 seconds, it always resets to 5 seconds every time the unit is turned off and back on.

The unit works great, very easy to use and seems to be much more accuarate than other cheap models I have owned in the past. 100% recommended to anyone out there who drinks and has though about driving afterwards.
