I got this to keep track of body fat while on a new workout program. The problem is, I already have relatively low body fat, and I think the measurement may be a bit off. This particular caliper is not great for fine measurements, but I guess you get what you pay for.

i like the idea of this, but it may be a while before i am consistent in how i am able to use it to measure myself. definitely easier to have someone else do it (but then you have to train them!).

accurate, easy to use, portable, and inexpensive. I would recommend this to everyone. You dont need to spend more money on other fancy skin-fold testers.

For a while, I was considering buying one of those crazy, expensive $80+ scales, but in the end, decided that this caliper was a much more cost-effective approach that was just as accurate.
The tool works exactly as promised, with the clicker that indicates the proper amount of pressure to apply to get an accurate reading. It also comes with a little chart that indicates your approximate body fat percentage, based on the measurement and your age. However, if you take a quick look on Google, there are other methods that allow you to calculate your body fat percentage more accurately by measuring more points on your body. Theres one method that takes 3 points, your chest, abdomen, and thigh, that you can measure yourself, as well as other methods involving up to as many as 10 points, which require a friends help, as many of the spots are unreachable by yourself.
Anyways, this is a great product, it works perfectly, and allows you to track your body fat percentage easily, in a matter of seconds each day.

Its cheap and its plastic and not real sturdy, but it does what its supposed to and you cant expect much more than that for the price. Id buy it again for what it is.

The item came with good directions on how to use it and charts on how to interpret the results. It could have been easier to use if there was some kind of way that when using it it would lock in place. Now you have to look at the device while its being used, not all that hard but still could be slightly easier to use.

Easy to use, product not expensive. The only drawback I have with this product is that the company could at least put some soft thing on the tip of the pincher. I have red marks all over my body.

I was looking forward to this item because I remember using calipers when I was in the Army.
I find the quality lacking, and the click button is really hard to get a feel for. The press button hardly gets any kind of click on my unit so mine my be defective.
Very cheaply made and I think giving it three stars was a bit generous. There has to be better calipers out there. But I guess as in most things, you get what you pay for.

yea its cheap. i dont really trust this thing but as you are losing body fat it is kind of fun to realize the difference of measurement.
