i needed a firewire cable for my external harddrive - this one is perfect. inexpensive and works just as well as any other overpriced cable.

I was a bit reluctant, but the low price prompted me to take a chance. Being that this is the first time I purchased a 6 pin to 6 pin firewire cable, I am unable to make a comparison. I will say that my experience has been positive. I highly doubt the average person will be able to notice a difference. The transfer speed is nothing short of amazing. I do believe that a firewire cable must meet certain specifications before being labeled as such, making them inherently superior from the start. Given its low price its not much of a risk.
