What is the iLiad?
The iLiad is a portable device that lets you read and write as you do on paper everywhere you go. Everything you like to read, like books, newspapers and documents, you can now take along on a device as small and light as a single book. Even in bright sunlight the display of the iLiad offers you perfect readability. With the iLiad can you also send, receive and share documents with family, friends or business colleagues.

More than just reading
Just as with normal paper, you're able to make notes and annotate existing documents, but unlike paper your annotated documents and notes can easily be transferred to a PC or another iLiad. Your friends and colleagues can also add remarks or edit your notes and return them to you. The iLiad is not just about serious stuff, you can also do Sudoku and Crossword puzzles, read comics and sketch or draw on it.

What can you do with the iLiad?
  • Anything you can print from your PC can be read on the iLiad. You can also download books and other information from the internet. You can even receive digital subscriptions to international newspapers on an iLiad.
  • The iLiad has a wireless connection to automatically download content and updates over the Internet. You can also connect the iLiad directly to any PC with a USB cable. The iLiad Companion software enables you to easily transfer and manage the documents between your PC and the iLiad.
  • The iLiad can hold dozens of books and documents. Memory capacity can be increased simply by inserting a Compact Flash or MMC card, just as with digital camera. You can even insert your USB-stick into the iLiad to quickly read content.


Easy on the eyes, easy on the environment
The paper-like display of the iLiad produces a stable image, unlike a flickering PC screen. So the reading experience with the iLiad is much more comfortable, enabling you to go on for hours without tiring your eyes.

The display only consumes power when a page is turned so the power consumptions is very low. And just think of the paper you can save. You no longer need to rely on printed editions of newspapers, books or your own printed documents and notes!

To Read or Not To Read
That is no longer the question with the iLiad. Thanks to the breakthrough technology of its Electronic Paper Display that reads pretty much like real paper, you can read anything, anywhere.

Whether it's a newspaper, a book or a comic strip, it offers the perfect readability outdoors in direct sunlight as in a dimly lit interior settings.

Find small print hard to read or want to take a closer look at that sales chart? With the easy to use navigation feature, you can scale and zoom to suit your own reading comfort or flip to portrait or landscape orientation to get a better view on things.

Read… and Write
The iLiad is not merely about reading… it is about writing too. Thanks to the integrated Wacom Penabled technology you can use the stylus to make notes, underline text and write comments in documents do your favorite crossword or Sudoku puzzles or even sketches and draw.

The stylus can also be used to quickly and easily navigate your way through the iLiad menu and your documents with a whole library at the tip of your stylus.

A perfect fit
Thanks to its compact and lightweight design the iLiad can easily fit into any reading style. Whether it’s reading the newspaper in the subway on the way to work or some late night reading in bed that you are into, the iLiad will fit your reading habits.

With all the stuff you can do on the iLiad you may never want to stop using it. Fortunately, your iLiad will allow you to read and write for up to 15 hours* without recharging the battery. This means the pages keep on turning whether you’re reading your newspaper at breakfast, catching up on your selection of RSS feeds over lunch, making notes during your business meetings or reading a few chapters of your latest novel, the iLiad might just outlast you.

A book or a library ?
How much can your bag hold? That’s up to you and your iLiad. It can hold up to dozen books, newspapers or comic strips and if that is not enough you can extend it easily to hold up to 4 Gigabyte of data with a MMC or CF card.

You no longer need to agonize about which book you'd like to take with you, just take them all and decide later. With the iLiad you virtually have a small library at your disposal.

Hook up…
The built-in wireless capability of the iLiad will keep you connected and up to date. Using the network wizard you can locate and connect to available wireless networks to make sure you stay connected anywhere you go. What if no wireless network is available? Don't worry; the compact travel hub has a built-in Ethernet card that will hook you up with any wired network.

Synchronize Wirelessly
Your iLiad syncs seamlessly with your computer thanks to the iLiad Companion Software even wireless. Suppose you are reading a book on your iLiad in the living room, while your computer is in your office. The iLiad Companion software brings them together using the built-in 802.11B/G wireless capability of the iLiad and your existing network. Your newspapers, books, RSS feeds and documents are synchronized automatically with your iLiad.
