Williams (Austin, TX USA) on Monday, 2-February-2009 It does not seem something so simple can perform as good as the deluxe bunny ears antennas we use for our home televisions, but the Phonics PD-197 antenna can run with the big dogs. Stick the clear wire rectangle on glass, and connect the cable into your devices antenna input. The cable is 6 feet long, plenty room to hang high or under stuff. And the box includes an adapter to fit any 3.5mm jack if your product lacks the traditional coaxial cable connection. My regular antenna that came with my portable TV barely picked up anything. Yuck. The Phonics antenna got both the analog and newer digital stations. Some of the pictures are jerky, but that it more due to the still weak signal strengh from my Austin, Texas area. Even my house TV has trouble with this, and that has amplied bunny ears. Hopefully the stations go to better power once the digital transfer is complete. I use the Phonics antenna in my truck, but you can use it either indoor or outside if you want. Now I can still continue to receive my games and news on my portable TV after the old analog cutoff date is finally reached. by: Joseph D. Williams on Monday, 2-February-2009
