Where the cord splits to go to each ear, one wire is short and the other is long. This drives me crazy. I have tried to get used to it but cant. I have never seen this setup before.

Excellent sound production. Very well balanced if properly inserted into the ear. You push in too far - too much bass. Dont push in far enough - less bass. Its very easy though to modulate this as it is shipped w/ 3 different sizes of ear-adaptors. This leads to a pretty obvious statement: these arent good to exercise with. If youre traveling; stationary - theyre awesome... and for the money, a steal.

I had a set of objective in mind when I was searching for earphones:

1. easy to put on take/take off
2. small and portable
3. have a decent sound (defined as not needing to crank up the volume just to hear whats going on with the music)
4. does not hurt my ears

I have to say that this set of earbuds have matched all my criteria pretty well, and I am an happy owner of these earbuds. In addition, I understand that Koss has a lifetime warranty on their products, which is another plus.
Only complaint I have is that the cords do seem a little fragile, and due to the nature of earbuds, I can hear myself breathing when listening to music.

I read the reviews of this and other earbuds. I liked the name Koss, as I have had multiple earphones from them, and was very pleased with them. I did not have any of the problems of the booming base, and liked the ability of the noise reduction/isolation. It is better than the portable earphones that normally come with MP3 devices. The only thing that I dont like about it is the off-center split of the wire separation to each ear. I recently lost the earbuds while on the train, and bought another to replace it, because I like its capabilities.

So I bought these headphones about 3 months ago, and I am truly impressed. The sound canceling is great for the price, it will cancel out jet noise, but now that annoying kid screaming behind you.

The sound that comes out of it is very vivid and lively. I have a pair of $100 professional headphones, and they almost sound the same.

These earbuds are high-quality and deliver the perfect amount of bass. They come with 3 different sized buds and a small pouch to put it in.

I have been brutal to them, I have dropped them, twisted the, pulled them, and lastly, I ACCIDENTLY WASHED THEM, AND DRIED THEM IN AN INDUSTRIAL WASHER/DRYER WHILE INSIDE THE POUCH, AND THEY STILL WORK JUST LIKE NEW.

The wires have no shortage, and if I were you I would buy it now from your site, I got mine at Wal-Mart and I paid twice as much.

I bought these because Ive got monkey ears I guess...the earbuds you get when you buy an iPod kept falling out of my ears. Ive always liked the base-treble balance of Koss, so I purchased these instead of the $50 Sony earbuds. The Koss earbuds stay in my ears perfectly, but they do lack the bass I was hoping for. Still, they are better than the iPod stock ones in sound and fit.

I have rather small ear canals so other earbuds hurt my ears after a half hour. I decided to buy these and I absolutely am sold. The adjustable rubber inserts are awesome, I use the smallest size and they fit perfectly! I get full clarity of music, voices, tv shows, anything I would like to listen to. When Im not listening to anything, I hear very minimal noise... these would work as earplugs to drown out the sound. Also, when working out and I dont want to mess with my mp3 player to adjust the sound, theres a volume adjuster right in the wires. Im rather multi-tasking challeneged so a quick adjustment is perfect for me!

The only bummer about these is that I wasnt expecting the length of the earbuds to be different. Ones longer to wrap around the back of the neck, its not anything I cant deal with but Im just personally not used to it.

These are all around fantastic. Great clarity, sound, price and size (for small ears)!! I would def. buy these for my friends and family and wouldnt waste my money on anything else.

I have been using these consistently for my Ipod the last two months and I like them more and more. Not perfect, but better than 4 stars.

As so many other reviewers point out so well, sound quality can be such a subjective issue. I suspect there are buyers out here who would want a bud with a much bigger bass, but the music I listen to, jazz and some pop, does not need a huge bass. Plus I have no desire to destroy my ears.

They are comfortable and while you can adjst them in your ear to get an altra-snug fit, I like a looser fit.

I really like the sound quality on them for my Ipod. Now if I am sitting at my PC at home and need isolation, I strap on my Koss Pro 4AAs and I get isolation and exquisite quality. But for portable buds, these really offer all I can have.

I bought these as an afterthought, bundled with the Koss sparkplugs. But back-to-back, the Sparkplugs sound much more muffled than these.

They sound amazing, by far the best ear buds Ive ever used.

But they have the thing were one ear bud has a longer cord than the other, and this makes them hard to use; and they get tangled very easily.

these sound really really great, but like ALL the others I have a problem with the fit, very active at the gym and cannot get them to stay in the ears. That is the only reason they dont get a 5 star rating. After 4 different sets with the same problem I know it is a problem with me but to give the best rating I have to be completely satisfied.

These are fine. They DO certainly isolate you from noisy surroundings, but they stick kind of way into your ears. They are NOT good for sweaty workouts, they get slippery. My biggest problem with them is that they follow that inexplicable design that some earbuds have where the section of wire leading to the left earbud is longer than the wire leading to right one. Doesnt make any sense. Irritating. Sound is okay though.

I was surprised that the earbuds stayed in my ears without the use of the larger cushions. (I wore conventional banded headphones for several years because I could not get most earbuds to stay in place.) The asymmetrical earbud wire lengths are annoying, but the problem can be corrected with a twist-tie or two. The wire for the left earbud almost seems ridiculously short compared to the longer wire for the right earbud. The different lengths make them easy to identify, but I had to use a twist-tie to secure the right earbuds excess wire to the main wire so that it would not snag every free object in my vicinity.

My experience with audio puts me in the sane-audiophile chapter. I appreciate my THX certified home theatre, but I realize that the monster cable is mostly a gimmick and that Bose is the biggest waste of money out there. My favorite brands are JBL, Infinity, Harman Kardon, Klipsch, Polk, Sennheiser, beyerdynamic, Grado, Denon, Advent, Dayton Audio, Boston Acoustics, and last but not least Yamaha.

Audio Quality: Comparing directly to my sennheiser HD-555s, I feel that the bass is exaggerated and can get in the way of the treble. This leads to a flatter resulting sound experience that doesnt have the transparency that I prefer. Even though it lacks the highs I desire, these earbuds in no way are bad. In fact they are very similar to my sennheiser CX300s as far as frequency response is concerned. Impressive since I paid Eighty Dollars for the sennheisers. But my sennheisers broke, and I needed something between warranty replacement.

Construction Quality: I love the earbuds, stress reliefs, and the behind the neck style cord. While the line is cheap plastic, I do not expect it to be any better than what it is for this cost. The thing I replaced right away was the rubber isolation pads. The pads oddly compress too easily at the bend and end up folding over onto the hard plastic. Its best if you suspend the hard plastic casing with the pad, and not force it too deep into your ear.

Naysayers: If you find you are having problems with lack of bass, definitely use the proper size of pad for your ear canal. Also, these go in your ear canal, not rotated 90 degrees like cheapo earbuds.

The sound on these is pretty good, but I was only able to get it to fit properly in one ear. In my other ear, it just didnt want to stay in. With the ear that it did fit, it sealed well, and provided good bass response, etc.

Today I was watching a video on my laptop with my friend and we had to use her headphones. As soon as the video started playing I was completely blown away by the amazing bass! I have tried buying bass-boosting headphones and they never work, but these are soooo cool! I knew I had to get them for myself so here I am, just hours later, ordering a pair! The variety of colors is cool too =)
