I had a fun time zapping bugs with these. Most of the time the zap only stunned the fly. But that still gave me plenty of time to pick it up and flush it (better than smashing them with a regular swatter and having to clean up the mess).

My only complaint is that they are cheap in quality. The button on one of my swatters was jammed when I received it. I was still able to use it for a few days, but it eventually jammed completely.

The other one still works, but that darn button is starting to jam. I rarely use it anymore, but if I did, Im pretty sure the button would have messed up like the other. Im pretty sure I can figure out a way to fix them, but why should I have to?

This fly swatter packs a punch! You can see the blue spark and here it when it zaps a bug or your friend.

My son bought one of the `C battery versions of this product for Fathers Day. He said it was a gag gift. I dont know why.

Swatting flies has always been a mildly satisfying chore, but now, every kill is a celebration. Theres the satisfying `Snap that announces a solid strike, the sparkling bug trapped in the metal webbing of the racket as you hold the button down, like a Japanese lamp with a short. Finally, the fly detonates and breaks the circuit, or smoke starts rising and stings your nostrils with its acrid fumes. The Twins have learned to bounce the fly on the webbing like a bit of water on a hot greasy skillet. Hours of entertainment have been realized through this ingenious device. The only real problem now is, weve run out of flies.

I feel comfortable recommending this device as a summer toy to anyone.

I first discoverd these electrice fly swatters when I was traveling in Asia. When we got back from our trip, we searched everywhere to find one here. Unfortunately, we have not found one yet that recharges by plugging into a wall outlet (like the ones we saw in Asia).

Our first try was one of those AA battery ones that we picked up at a store at an outlet mall. Came home with it... and it was sooooo weak.

After finding this one on your site, we popped in the larger batteries and started zapping away at our fly problem. This one is definitely much stronger... and is the strongest one that I have found in my research in stores and online. It does have a more heavy-duty feel to it, compared to the flimsy AA battery ones.

Having two in the house is nice though... and not because Im fighting with my husband to use it... but because its nice to have one in each hand to double swing at those pests!

Weve had for waaaay over a year now and still works perfectly.

This sucker is truly awesome at getting rid of annoying critters. Ive been able to kill wasps, mosquitos, spiders, even large crickets, altho the crickets do take more exposure to shocks than the other smaller type bugs.

The weight of the handle and quality of construction will make you think twice about swinging it quickly to try and swat flies, but other than that, its a great item and does what is says it does and slightly more. Like I said, I can kill a pretty big cricket with this thing, something I frankly know wouldnt be possible with a AAA battery model.

I first bought a 2AA battery electric fly swatter which was only killing insects half the time which was making me feel as if I was torturing bugs the other half. I wanted to use it to take out some larger spiders without making a mess but I wound up just pinning the spiders down and I still had to squish them with something else.

Over the summer there was a bee in my house and I didnt even contemplate using the weak electric swatter, so I had to order this one purely out of necessity. This 2D battery version is almost overkill (which is good). It not only kills the insect but it cooks them. It smokes and smells a little but atleast the spider is dead and theres no mess.

Definately keep away from kids in the way that you would keep away a stun gun.

Works great, and its fun for me. I might be slightly nutty, but hearing that zap when I get a fly can be so rewarding. The only downside is its battery operated, I have seen them that can be plugged into the wall to be charged, I would have preferred that one but this is still a great product.

i bought this bug zapper to replace one that died after about three years of faithful use, and i just thought people should note that this one uses two size D batteries, thus making the handle a lot heavier and wider than my previos one which used two AA batteries. i havent had a chance to use it yet, but if it works like the other, i highly recommend these for killing mosquitos. ive never tried to zap larger bugs.
