The first two lasted over 20 years, which is not bad for such an economical watch. The band on the first one gave out before the watch. This model is very easy to read, is comfortable and attractive. It seems as sturdy as my other two. The digital window is somewhat blocked by the minute hand when it is between the 4 and 8, but I normally use the hands anyway. The hour hand is shorter and is not as much of a problem. It has all the basic watch features you need. I dont think you can go wrong with any G-Shock. by: Kimball R. It finally gave up the ghost a couple days ago, due to the casing around the watch itself finally wearing out and ripping completely off. To put it mildly I was extremely tough on this watch and it never let me down. There are a few drawbacks, almost all involving the small lcd display which youll read in many of the comments. My wrists are fairly large so the band to this watch is a little short. The watch is pretty light weight, which is fine. This is my first analog/digital g-shock watch. While the light only lights up the digital display thats okay. The painted on glow in the dark stuff on the hands are a joke. If you think about it though, pretty much EVERY watch that Ive seen that have that stupid painted on glow in the dark stuff on the hands of the analog watch always never last long. Ive found it a bit a pain in the but to set the analog hands. Youve got to hold down the H-SET button for the hands ONLY move forward and not backward. So if you accidently go past the time you want to set youre screwed and youd got to go ALL the way around again. I really like the looks of this watch though. Pretty tough looking. A few of the features that I wish it came with is I wish there were 2 alarms instead of just one and I wish it had a countdown timer. Other than that this is an awesome watch. by: Paul J. I personally dont like the way digital watches look, but hate the way analog watches lack features. This watch combines both styles very nicely. The watch fits great, which is a plus, becuase many watches I have tried on have been huge. This is by no means a small watch, but looks very nice when being worn. There are a few things I would change however. I would like the dual time zone to be able to be in military time. This is not possible, since it has to be the same as your regular time settings. Also, the light only lights the digital display, which is a pain if it is set to a different function. However, these are two minor things. I am very picky but really love this watch.
